POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
After a couple days of exploration I can confirm Yellowstone & the Grand Tetons are incredible :)
. . . .
I tried out a new approach with filming on this trip that got me a unique 5x4 image, which I really like. I just brought one lens along and it was really freeing to have less gear to worry about, but it definitely would've been nice to have a longer lens on hand for filming wildlife.

Kauai - A 6-day trip of Epic™ proportions

Exploring Kauai in Hawaii was such a nice getaway. The island is so green, the water is so clean, and the people are so incredibly nice. A 2200 character itinerary of our joys and tribulations is below

Day 1 - Landed around 1pm- went to Bubba’s burgers (best burgers of the trip), saw chickens, had poke for dinner and checked out Hanalei.

Day 2 - Açai at Kalalea Juice (s/o @steph_slezlax for this and half the other things we did), went to Talk Story bookstore, and did a light little 7 mile hike up to the Alaka'i Swamp in the rain.

Day 3 -Secured a 2-night camping permit for the Kalalau trail along the Napali Coast- it’s supposedly one of the most dangerous trails in the country, worth it for the serene and inaccessible beach at the end. On paper it’s 11 miles, but it’s definitely more like 13 miles. Guavas on the trail. Epic. We made it, almost 11 hours later. Sunset on the beach, nice.

Day 4 - Camped on the beach under clear dark skies and the brightest stars that I finally got to try star trail photos with (slide 13), munched on a store-bought off-season mango I brought for breakfast that I cut open with a seashell since I lost my knife. The views on this beach are worth every breath it took to get there, and there are even sick caves and tide pools to explore.
We met a local, Tara, who had the best advice, stories, and survival skills, and has done this trail countless times. A wild cat ate most of our sandwiches we had for the hike out… don’t leave your food bag outside of the tent I think is the lesson there. Statement.

Day 5 - The hike back was way better- took ~8 hours including ~1 hour of breaks, water filtering, and swimming in streams. We had the most INSANE fish burritos at Federico’s to celebrate. We celebrated AGAIN with some fantastic ramen at Ama for dinner. We recovered and explored the windward side of the island.

Day 6 - Honestly, this day was fully a views and food tour. We tried tons of different places worth of snacks, coffee, and foods. T'was great to chill after Kalalau, which was both the best experience of my life, and the hardest, hands-down. I can't recommend this island and trail enough! taken in Kaua'i, Hawaii by @its.pabs

After looking through everything I have filmed in the past 7 years, I finally put together my cinematography reel that showcases all the types of work I've not only loved doing, but want to continue doing in the future as well. Thank you to everyone who has helped me get to where I am today! by @its.pabs

checked out joshua's trees, in depth. we backpacked 24 miles through the wilderness with 30-40lbs on our backs in 2.2 days- injuries were sustained but I made the group keep going for the sake of adventure (safety is my priority though of course!)... i'm super happy that I finally got a chance to try some astrophotography on film and check off this bucket list endeavor! shot on fuji 200 and kodak 800. taken in Joshua Tree National Park by @its.pabs

(fun fact: midoris, amaretto sours, and espresso martinis had never been produced so well in all of human history until this night) by @its.pabs

Got back to flying recreationally more consistently recently! Flew KGEU > KGEU with a minor 2 hour detour to 10,500ft MSL near Winslow, AZ. We found a tiny crater out there idk nobody has ever seen this before probably so I think we should name it after ourselves, vote for name taken in Winslow, Arizona by @its.pabs
