Over the weekend, I was reminded once again of why we created @the.rubexperience and designed our floral haven. 🌸 😍

When @seyiamao reached out to host E.A.T with Daddy’s Girls, she had a specific vision: an intimate, wholesome and healing experience. She chose our Design Centre over The Rube studio because she wanted a different setting and seating arrangement. We developed a mood board, and she confirmed it was exactly what she had envisioned.

What unfolded was more than an event. From floral bonding to vulnerable conversations, reflection, prayer and healing, it was beautiful to witness people connect, belong and simply be.

This is our WHY. We believe flowers and beautifully designed spaces can do more than please the eyes; they can create room for meaningful connections, healing and transformation.

We created The Rube as a place to bloom, bond and connect on a different level while @rukkiesdecor brings these experiences to life through intentional design.

About Last Weekend ✨

Some stories come full circle in the most beautiful ways. 🤍

If you know how I started my career, you’ll know that pageantry has always been my first love. It was actually one of the very first steps that led me to building what is today, Rukkies House.

So being part of the selection committee for Miss Tourism Nigeria & Mr Universe Nigeria, while having @rukkieshouse proudly come on board as a Host venue partner, felt incredibly personal and fulfilling.

From set design by Rukkies Decor, to the Tourism Education session at RAFAD, hosting the ladies at The Rube where, as a team, they created bouquets for the winners, and styling by Rukkies Petali it was such a joy to welcome them across our different brands.

Sharing my story of how pageantry became the starting point of a journey that has grown into a group of companies was one of those moments that made me pause and appreciate just how far the journey has come.

From a girl who loved pageantry… to building an ecosystem that could support one. Full circle. ✨

Congratulations to all the winners, and congratulations to @misstourismnigeria @officialmisscosmonigeria on a beautiful and successful event.

September feels like a good time to pause and appreciate the work behind the work. 😊

There’s something beautiful about creating spaces where people can gather, connect, learn, bloom and realizing that somewhere along the way, the thing you started building became bigger than you.

Building businesses has taught me that vision is rarely glamorous in real time. Sometimes it’s strategy, sometimes it’s risk, sometimes it’s putting out fires… and sometimes it’s standing in the middle of a room holding flowers wondering how exactly you got here. 😂🌸

But I’m learning to honour every version of the journey the messy beginnings, the quiet wins, the rooms we’ve built, the people we’ve impacted and the dreams that are still taking shape.

September, I’m not asking for an easy month. I’m asking for a meaningful one.
More courage. More clarity. More impact. More room to become.

And may everything we are building quietly become the evidence that we didn’t dream too small. 🤍

It was a beautiful, intimate evening of silk scarves, florals, champagne and connection at Tie One On where we learned creative ways to style a silk scarf while creating our own floral keepsakes at the Boutonnière Bar by The Rube @the.rubexperience 🌸

Over the weekend At the 40 Under 40 Nigeria Gala & Awards Night, I had the honour of serving as a Keynote Speaker and speaking on Economic Growth: Partnership, Investment & Entrepreneurship.

I spoke about the power of collaboration, the courage to build, the importance of investing in ideas and people, and the responsibility that comes with creating impact beyond ourselves.

And while I came to celebrate and honour remarkable leaders, I was deeply humbled to also receive an Award of Appreciation.

A beautiful reminder that leadership is both a privilege and a responsibility to lead with vision, create opportunities, build others, and leave every space better than you found it.

I didn’t just shake hands and present awards.
I stood, I spoke, I shared, I was honored and I was reminded of why the work matters.

Here’s to building boldly, leading intentionally, and creating an economy where partnership and entrepreneurship become engines for collective growth.
