This is MAJOR. ✨ Today marks the release of the National Strategy to Close the Women’s Health Gap, which is a roadmap for how we can invest in research, improve care, and build a healthier future for women and families.

Led by the Society for Women’s Health Research @swhr_official, the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists @acog_org, and the Women First Research Coalition, the strategy calls on Congress to make a bold, coordinated $20 billion federal investment in women’s health research over the next decade.

This is an exciting moment as it moves this critical conversation beyond awareness. Awareness matters, but awareness alone doesn’t change outcomes. Research does. Policy does. Accountability does. That’s how systems change happens.

It’s heartening to see this coalition come together with a shared vision while pushing for a funding commitment that finally matches the scale of the opportunity. Women make up 51% of the US population, and according to @mckinseyco, closing the women’s health gap could add $1 trillion to the global economy annually by 2040.

True progress happens when we stop asking women to navigate broken systems and start building better ones.

If this matters to you, swipe to slide 7 to see how you can support. (And if don’t know your rep’s IG handle, Google it!)

P.S. A special shoutout to @k8eschubert for your vision and fearless leadership in bringing the strategy to life! The world is better because you’re in it. 🤍

Co-founding @perelelhealth changed the trajectory of my life. What began as a mission to support women through key hormonal life stages ultimately opened my eyes to a much larger challenge and opportunity.

The work ahead isn’t just about improving women’s health. It’s about building systems where women can truly thrive.

Thank you @forbes for uplifting the work and sharing this story. And thank you to all of *you* for linking arms with me to create a better reality.

Last fall, I had the privilege of sitting in @gloriasteinem’s living room to co-host a Talking Circle about women’s health with my dear friend @daniellerobay and a group of extraordinary women.

Last week, with the support and blessing of Gloria and @gloriasfoundation, we continued that tradition here in Los Angeles by gathering a group of women to talk about perimenopause.

Together we shared stories, compared notes, asked questions, and spoke candidly about a stage of life that impacts *every woman* fortunate enough to live long enough to experience it.

The two words I heard most often were “isolated” and “confused.” And frankly, that tells us everything.

Women shouldn’t have to navigate a normal (universal!) biological transition armed with little more than Google searches, social media, and group chats.

The good news? We can change this.

We can start by talking more openly about perimenopause and investing in the research needed to better understand it. Because women deserve answers. They deserve better care. And ultimately, they deserve systems designed with them in mind.

Thank you to every woman who joined us, and to Gloria and her Foundation for helping preserve a tradition that reminds us how powerful it can be when women gather, listen, and learn from one another.

Finally, thank you @sacha.strebe and @kateparfet for encouraging this gathering and helping bring this beautiful community together. And thank you @drsarah_menopausemd for bringing your brilliance and expertise to the circle.

There is so much about our bodies, our health, our history, and our power that many of us were never taught.

These are 5 books that completely changed how I understand what it means to move through the world as a woman. They gave me language for things I’d experienced, context for things I’d questioned, and ultimately a deeper understanding of the systems shaping our lives every day.

Warning: Some of these books will make you angry. Others will leave you in awe. All of them will make you think. by @its_alextaylor

Honored to be featured on this year’s @createcultivate 100 List alongside 99 extraordinary women who are building companies, challenging assumptions, shaping what comes next, and pushing for a better reality.

Being surrounded by women like this is a reminder of what’s possible when women are given the opportunity, resources, and support to lead. The more women we elevate, the more influence we have in shaping the systems, policies, products, and institutions that impact our lives. As my dear friend @k8eschubert says: “If you don’t have a seat at the table, you’re on the menu.” It’s our time to all pull up a chair, ladies. L F G.

Motherhood broke me apart. Then it rebuilt me and stretched me in ways I never could’ve imagined. It’s been the most beautiful/exhausting/grounding/perspective-shifting experience of my life. Nothing has made me feel more alive, more vulnerable, or more certain of exactly what matters.

To all the mothers doing the invisible work of showing up fully… and starting over every single day: Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

Before turning her focus to women’s health, @its_alextaylor honed her eye for culture, storytelling and brand at places like Vogue and L’Oréal. But it was motherhood and her own experience of fertility, pregnancy and postpartum, that gave her work a deeper mission.

Today, that mission extends beyond @perelelhealth products. Most recently, Alex has been in Washington, DC, advocating for maternal health and better postpartum support, with a vision for a world where mothers are no longer left to figure it out alone.

In our latest Luminary Mothers interview, Alex opens up about motherhood, identity, ambition, postpartum care, and what it means to build with both courage and care.
