I am incredibly honoured to be part of @wowglobal ‘s Young Leader’s Directory 2023. I have also been invited to their special event for International Day of the Girl taking place this weekend among other incredible young leaders and activists from around the GLOBE 🌎🎉😭(typing this is so surreal!)

The WOW (Women of the World) Foundation is an incredible organisation that works year-round to celebrate women, girls and non-binary people as well as tackling the issues they’re facing. As part of their festival this year they are bringing together 37 young leaders and activists from around the world to connect, share stories and learn from each other while creating networks and community. I could not be more excited to be part of such an inspirational group of people and I’m extremely grateful to have been highlighted on an amazing global platform ✨

I’m looking forward to connecting with a powerhouse of individuals and continuing to make my younger self so proud🥺

Last month I had the pleasure of directing my very first documentary, Cultural Medium. I’m beyond thrilled to announce that it will be screened at the Galway Film Festival this year!!😭😭🤍🤍🤍 I could not be more excited for this as I put my all into this project. It’s literally a dream come true!

Cultural medium tells the story of artist, rapper, songwriter and producer Yomi Attention. He discusses his life growing up, his journey with his music, as well as how he has embraced both the Nigerian and Irish Culture through his music. It’s told through a spoken word piece written by my phenomenal and talented sister @tatenda.writes . A massive thank you to her for creating and writing such a beautiful piece that added to the vision! You’re a rare gem and there’s so much in store for you💎

Thank you so much to Yomi @yomiattention as well as his family and friends for allowing us to share your story in a unique way. You’re so talented and you’re destined for greatness❤️

A special thank you to my literal right hand throughout this entire experience @chloedanga ❤️❤️❤️ your efforts, input and support mean the most. Really grateful that I had you by my side ✨

Special thank you to @kimbartleyfrontline for being a phenomenal mentor throughout this journey. Your golden advice, guidance, support and encouragement meant alot to us. I’m very grateful that our paths crossed!❤️

Thank you so much to @ailillmartin for capturing the whole documentary. Your attention to detail was so remarkable ❤️

And thank you so much to @marymcproductions @myiadt for this opportunity and giving us the platform to create this meaningful documentary❤️

I can’t wait for this to be shared for everyone to see. And I’m so happy that we can show that Black and Irish stories aren’t just about suffering and trauma but they can also be ones of power, beauty and self-discovery🤍✨
