This piece represents my favorite SDG goal, Goal 5: Gender Equality. Every woman deserves to be respected protected and given equal opportunity.

We aim for a world where women are treated with fairness and honor. We all need to join hands to achieve this goal.

To him I'm just a pretty face,a girl who can slay
I am that person that tends to the home and the garden
The person who makes his house a home, the perfect hostess at a party
Sometimes, he says am his baby making machine
All I know how to do is birth children who will preserve his last name
He thinks his last name is my greatest achievement in life
He knows nothing about me because I am more
I am a boss I win at the office and at my business
I am a smart girl with brains in my head holding intellectual conversations with my peers
I am a problem solver bringing innovations the world has never seen
I am more and I can do more.

Africa; our spirit, our sound and our colour
We are made of black
We are strong and resilient, facing everyday with the mind of a warrior
We clothe ourselves in honour and respect
Nothing seems impossible to us,our dreams are achievable
We are a community of happy, vibrant and colourful people
People who push the limits and see the bigger picture
Our dreams don't scare us they motivate us
We are ready to win,we champions of today.
