What words can begin to convey the magnitude of this loss?
What words can attempt to describe the impact you made in your short time here on earth?
My love, there are no words to perfectly capture your beautiful soul.

You were so selfless, so thoughtful, so loving.
Your light illuminated every dark room. Your presence was felt strongly wherever you went.
Your beautiful laughter filled up every room and brought comfort and joy to everyone around you.

I find myself thinking back on our time together — cherishing every memory, reliving them, replaying them in my mind, trying to hold onto every single detail.
I just wish I had more.
More time to create more memories with you. More time to bask in the light that you radiated.
More time to enjoy the comfort of being your little brother.

My sister, my friend, my confidant.
It’s unimaginable to accept that you are no longer here — no longer by my side to guide me, to counsel me and to simply be my big sister. There were so many plans, so many things left undone, so many experiences we never got to share.

Yet in the midst of this, I find solace in the fact that though you are no longer here physically, your spirit lives on in each and every life that you touched during your time on earth.
You were an incredible human being and I will miss you so dearly.

I promise to honor your memory, to strive to be as generous, loving and selfless as you were.
I promise to care for our sister Emmy, to guide her, support her, and protect her in the way you always did.
I promise to honor our parents as you did, to care for them, and to be there for them as they grow older.

I will carry you with me always. In every step, in every phase, and in every chapter of my life — you will be with me. I am so grateful for the time we had together. I feel so blessed to have known you, and for the privilege of being your brother.

Until we meet again, keep resting in perfect peace.
