What a year….

Starting indoors was a little shaky. First year doing the 60mH. I started off running a 9.10 and ended my season with an 8.68, missing finals by one spot. Coming off a concussion 3 days before SWAC Indoors with no training for about a week, and still PR’d. I had a coach who believed in me and stayed with me through it all until the end…

Outdoor season was challenging. First 100mH race, I went 14.03 — a huge PR. I wanted to break 14 so bad, but it just wasn’t my time yet. I ended my 100mH season with a 14.16.

In the 400mH, I opened with a 1:08. I didn’t feel like myself at all. I wanted to drop the 400H and focus only on the 100mH, but I stayed true to myself and PR’d with a 1:04.02. Not my best yet, but I know I can do way better with the right technique and training. I ended my season with a 1:05.13.

I know what I’m capable of. I know the talent God gave me won’t go unseen. Just wait on me… I’m coming back better than ever 🤞🏽😤

Thank you, Gram 💛🖤 by @itsaamerie
