Let’s be honest birthdays can be triggering. You find yourself wondering who will remember, who will show up, who you matter to.

But this year was different.

I didn’t wait. I didn’t measure my day by who reached out. I made a decision to fully live it.

I enjoyed the wind, the sun, even the rain. I felt the warmth on my skin and the joy of God deep within me. It showed up in my smile, in my laughter, in the lightness I carried all day.

I read every message with gratitude. I cherished every word. And most of all, I fully enjoyed the people who were with me!

This year, I wasn’t looking to be remembered.
