Custom piece for @addaehinson
Inspired by @a.trincone design 
This was one of the most challenging yet meaningful projects I’ve worked on. From sourcing the fabric in Lagos (shoutout to my mom 😚), to constructing the piece in Atlanta, to Addae bringing it to life in Sacramento, it was a full-circle moment.
Grateful we got to merge our roots and creative visions. Thank you for letting me bring your vision to life 🌸 @addaehinson

I ❤️ Gorée island

I can’t post about Gorée & not reflect on its history. Gorée island was one of the main transit hubs during the transatlantic ethnic cleansing. Gorée became an island forcefully devoted to holding captives before being transported to Europe/America. This Island is a reminder that our existence today is rooted in unimaginable sacrifice, resistance, and survival. To live spiritually and culturally aware is to honor the lives who passed through Gorée, not just in memory, but in how boldly and intentionally we move through the world. I choose to live freely, fully, and yes, cuntily, as an act of defiance and celebration for those who were denied that right.
