Gainzzz has crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈

2016 was a crazy year for me. Candice and I moved in together, and she pressed me to get a dog, which would be my first dog. I had one rule, “No Chihuahua’s”, which was only based on what I heard. after an entire afternoon of going to 4 different rescues, I was annoyed and finally decided to walk this adorable Chihuahua, he curled up in my lap, and it was game over.

He never did it after that first day, which makes me think he played me. Candice decided to name him Gainzzz, Most people think I chose the name, but it was actually her.

He wasn’t a normal Chihuahua. He was super friendly to people, and almost never barked. He loved cruising, and was socially awkward just like me. He had the biggest personality and was genuinely my best friend. He also learned absolutely zero tricks in the 8 years we had him.

I’m glad that we had an opportunity to acknowledge his health was deteriorating and we could still have fun. We got to experience new things, and got in some extra quality time. He was a fighter though, and I know that he would’ve endured anything to be next to us.

#nationaldogday sounds like a made up holiday, but just wanna give a shoutout to my kids for keeping me sane. I probably post about them too much, but I’ve wanted a dog since I was a kid, and they were the best $265 I’ve ever spent. Even if they can be jerks. taken in Irvine, California by @itsalkim

I met @masscervantes during the COVID lockdown, and from day one he was genuinely one of the kindest people I’d ever met.

He always checked in to see how the dogs were doing, wanted to talk about the latest Marvel takes, and somehow had a way of making everyone around him feel welcome.

He was unbelievably strong, but even stronger in character. Humble, authentic, and the kind of person who left a lasting impression without ever trying. He also had the biggest appetite of anyone I ever met.

I had followed Barbell Brigade since I first started lifting, and here is with the coolest intro ever 🔥

Whenever he came over, he’d end up stretched out on our couch with Pepe, telling me it was the most comfortable couch he’d ever laid on. It became one of those little things I’ll always remember.

I hope wherever you are, there’s a big, comfortable couch waiting for you and Rottie, and all the steak you could ever want. by @itsalkim

Europe was lit 🔥 had a blast going from Paris>AMS>Köln>London and hanging out with great friends. Defqon.1 got cancelled after the first day but we made the most of it. Went to Luminosity and Bootshaus, and a bunch of walking and doner kebabs, baguettes, and croissants. Plus got to go to the Aston Martin F1 pop up event ! I did miss American AC and ice cubes. by @itsalkim

Disco got his name because he shines bright like a disco ball. He came to us very shy, but his personality is coming through, and he so wants to be loved. We can’t wait for him to meet his new family, and it’s going to be bittersweet, but we have had so much fun with him around. We will surely miss the little guy ! by @itsalkim

Boo ! Is our latest foster. She is 100% pure puppy energy. She is making good progress and learning the ropes. We are happy that she is spending time with us. She loves food and her tummy rubbed by @itsalkim

Gus, or as I called him Gustav, was super timid when we first met. Seeing him come out of his shell and become such a confident and loving pup was an amazing experience. He was one that we were in no rush to get adopted, and we cherished every moment we had with him. He is now living a renewed life in Palm Springs. So happy for him and his new family! He always slept on his back which was super cute 🥰 by @itsalkim
