Football was a chapter in my life, and whilst not a successful one using conventional measures,it impacted my life in both negative and positive ways. Whilst it’s “ only a sport”, it was my life and my dream, so for it end the way it did was hard. What we are all facing now will be looked back on as a chapter in everyone’s life, with impacts varied, but real and life changing. That will have huge impacts on individuals and families and challenge people’s mental health as they try and deal with it. It’s our collective responsibility to keep a close check on friends and family at these times and encourage people to speak up and share how they are feeling. It can be managed, and life can be good as tomorrow is always another day. #disappointmentversusregret by @itsangrydad

Happy Birthday our incredible supportive and kind friend Daics. 🎂
We want to thank you for 37 years of an incredible friendship. From holidays together, to you helping us buy our first house, weddings ( our groomsman)21st’s and kids growing up together. From spending time with your parents and ours and knowing through it all you were an incredible support friend always. We know your genuine heart one which is absolute gold. You taught our boys to kick a footy and now our grandies. You supported and celebrated Dylan being drafted and now we get to watch your boys continue your incredible talent and legacy. You also happened to find the best human in Col. I love her and she is my confidant and supportive kind friend. What would we do without you 🙏🏼. Always with the best advice and wanting to lift us up.
