Basking in moonshine & this life 🌕✨

Maybe it’s the full moon rising in my Aries sun.

Maybe it’s the last 9 months finally catching up with me.

9 months of building. Breaking. Rebuilding.

Of being stretched in ways I didn’t ask for and growing into versions of ourselves we probably couldn’t have met any other way.

Somewhere in the middle of all of it, I’ve been finding my way back to...HER. ✨️

The woman who feels deeply without apologizing.

Who takes up space.
Who trusts what she knows.
Who can be soft without shrinking.
Feminine AF. Unapologetic. Expansive. Alive.
And increasingly uninterested in making herself smaller so everyone else feels comfortable.

Last night was one of those moments where you look at each other, look at the life you’ve been building through all the beautiful + chaotic parts, and realize…

Damn, we’ve f*kng grown.

Not because everything is perfect.
Not because the hard days disappeared.
But because bad days are also part of a very good life.

And this life we’re building together?
I'm fully HERE FOR IT 🌕✨

Growth didn’t feel good. 🥹
It cost me things I thought I’d have forever.

Coming close to losing our home over unpaid taxes.

Over $100K in business debt.

Coming dangerously close to breaking up our family more than once.

Years of people-pleasing and climbing a corporate ladder that eventually shut me down for thinking and moving differently…

Saying goodbye to a business I poured myself into because, deep down, I knew it wasn’t aligned anymore.

Grieving my old self while suddenly becoming a mother in my early 20s, years before most of my friends.

Outgrowing one-way friendships.

Making the painful decision to cut ties with a sibling and learning that sharing blood doesn’t always mean sharing a healthy relationship.

Eating packaged ramen because sometimes, that was genuinely where we were financially.

Trying to move our entire life to the US and watching that plan fall apart after one expensive curveball after another… only to eventually understand that maybe it wasn’t the aligned move we thought it was.

And then there’s grief. 🕊

Losing my dad suddenly while experiencing my most expansive months in business, still riding the high of getting married and welcoming my newborn nephew simultaneously...

My father-in-law.
My mother-in-law, whom I deeply loved.

There were seasons when life wasn’t gentle.

It ripped things away. It humbled me. It changed what mattered.

And somehow, here I am. ✨️

On one beautiful August afternoon, relaxing surrounded by people I love. Laughing, living and simply being.

Not chasing something every waking moment because I’m afraid I’ll fall behind.

Not needing more people, more plans, more success, more anything to prove that my life is freaking full. 🧡

Things didn’t magically work themselves out.

I just weathered enough storms over the years to finally understand how precious an ordinary, beautiful moment really is.

Maybe that’s growth too.

Not becoming untouchable.
Becoming deeply alive.

And deciding, once and for all, that urgency doesn’t get to steal presence from me anymore.

Chances are, if you're Canadian AND Spanish like our family... your sleep schedule didn't stand a chance. 🇨🇦🇪🇸😅

First it was the Stanley Cup playoffs. Then came the FIFA World Cup. Countless late nights, matching jerseys, loud goal celebrations, and kids making memories they'll probably never forget.

We had one hell of a run. 🏆⚽🏒

Now excuse us while we attempt to catch up on approximately 742,569,047 hours of sleep to regulate our nervous system before school starts in 3 weeks. 😂✌🏼

Let's make these last weeks of summer count. The little moments become the biggest core memories. 🫶🏽

Some moments don't look extraordinary to anyone else… but they become memories you carry for a lifetime. 🥹

3 generations. 1 game. 1 shared passion. ⚽️

Watching Spain 🇪🇸 play alongside my dad, my father-in-law, and my husband is a moment I'll forever keep tucked away in my heart.

Not only because of the score, but because of who was beside me.

Today, we celebrate the fathers who show up every day. The ones grinding quietly for their families. The ones standing up for what's right. The ones carrying burdens no one sees. And the ones doing everything they can to find their way back home to the people they love.

And to the fathers we wish were still here...forever loved, forever missed, forever carried in our hearts. 🤍

To all our moms AND dog moms… 🐾🤍

Celles avec du poil de chien sur leurs leggings 24/7,

14 000 photos de leur chien dans leur camera roll…et une voix réservée uniquement pour le “who’s a good babyyyyy?” 😭

Celles qui organisent leur horaire autour des marches, amènent leur chien partout où elles peuvent…et qui finissent par partager la moitié de leur lit every single night. 🐶

Les dog moms qui aiment fort.
Qui maternent avec douceur, patience…
et quelques gâteries dans les poches. 🖤

Et à toutes les mamans aussi…
celles qui prennent soin de tout le monde, même quand elles sont fatiguées. ✨
