STRAY DOG

Each time I reinvent myself, I feel like I need to cross another boundary and lose another layer of safety. The more of myself I become, the more I have to risk losing the people, expectations, and versions of myself that no longer serve me.
So I decided that the happiest life I could live would be the one where I let myself express my dearest fantasies.
For a long time, I hid behind a character I created to make other people comfortable, while feeling like I was stepping on needles.
But my visions kept getting louder.
I see Art Nova when I walk down the street listening to a song. I see him in every daydream, every fantasy.
I’ve realized that Art Nova is simply a fire inside of me that refuses to die.
I think truly becoming the light you’re meant to be means speaking your truth and staying loyal to your visions—what you want to say, what you want to create, how you want to dress.
Even if you take a shit on your song and think it’s beautiful.
It was beautiful enough for you to create it.

A very super big THANK YOU to my friend @peter.james.iuretig for producing this song and bringing it to life

A super very big KISS for @leonitazh for filming this in Venice way back in November
