I’ve been trying to pull the Sword in the Stone for years… from Walt Disney World all the way to Disneyland. And today… IT FINALLY HAPPENED. 🗡️✨ For just a few seconds,I was just a kid. That’s the magic of Disney. It’s never really been about pulling a sword from a stone. It’s about believing, even if just for a moment, that impossible things can happen. It’s about letting yourself laugh a little louder, smile a little bigger, and remember what it feels like to see the world with wonder. People always ask why I keep coming back. This. This is why. Because Disney has a way of reminding me that magic isn’t something you grow out of. Sometimes, it’s exactly what your heart needs. 🎄✨ Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party | PART 3 Going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for the first time? Here are 6 tips to help you make the most of your night at Magic Kingdom! 1. ARRIVE EARLY! Your party ticket allows you to enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 PM, even though the party doesn’t officially start until 7 PM! 2. GRAB A PARTY MAP! Pick up a Christmas party map when you enter! It’s a great way to keep track of entertainment, treat locations, and other special experiences. If you’re a pen-and-paper girlie like me, you can even check things off as you go! You can also use the My Disney Experience app for showtimes, park navigation, and attraction wait times. 3. PRIORITIZE THE EXCLUSIVE ENTERTAINMENT! The Christmas parade, fireworks, and holiday shows are what make this party so special! 4. PLAN YOUR PARADE VIEWING! Main Street, U.S.A. is my personal favorite spot to watch Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade! Those marching toy soldiers are a must-see! 5. DON’T FORGET YOUR TREATS! Complimentary cookies and festive beverages are available at designated locations throughout the park! 6. DON’T TRY TO DO EVERYTHING! Pick your must-do experiences and leave yourself time to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere! And one little bonus tip from this Christmas-loving girl? Take a moment to enjoy the snowfall on Main Street. One thing about me, I’m NOT missing churro waffle day on a Disney Cruise! 🧇✨ One of the first things I do is ask my rotational dining team which morning they’re serving churro Mickey waffles! They’re not served every morning, and availability can vary by sailing, so I always recommend asking your dining team so you don’t miss out! Halloween at Walt Disney World OR Halloween on the High Seas? I’ve experienced BOTH, and let me tell you, they’re two completely different ways to celebrate Halloween with Disney! I absolutely LOVE Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! The Boo-To-You Parade, fireworks, characters, and seeing Magic Kingdom all dressed up for Halloween are so much fun! BUT there are a few things about Halloween on the High Seas that I really love! First, so many of the Halloween activities take place indoors, which means AIR CONDITIONING! And if you’ve ever worn a costume in Florida during Halloween season, you know exactly why I appreciate that! I also love that the costume guidelines are different onboard. Being able to wear my longer pink Cinderella dress on the Disney Treasure was such a special experience! And here’s another big difference! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party requires a separate ticket, while the Halloween festivities on a qualifying Disney cruise are included in your cruise fare! Now, if you know me, you know I’m a seven-night cruise girlie! I love having time to enjoy all the Halloween fun while still getting to experience everything else the ship has to offer. Would I do Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party again? ABSOLUTELY! Would I sail Halloween on the High Seas again? In a heartbeat! Both are magical in their own way, and I really don’t think you can go wrong! So tell me, are you celebrating Halloween at Magic Kingdom or at SEA? Disney Cruise Embarkation Day: PART 1 🚢✨ If this is your first Disney Cruise, SAVE THIS! Embarkation day is officially DAY ONE of your vacation, but there are a few things you want to have ready before you ever get to the cruise terminal. My biggest tips: ✨ Pack a carry-on with anything you may need before your checked luggage arrives. Medications, valuables, chargers, sunscreen, a swimsuit, a change of clothes and anything your little ones may need. ✨ Make sure your luggage tags are attached to your checked bags. ✨ Keep your Port Arrival Form and required travel documents WITH YOU and somewhere easy to reach. Do not put these in your checked luggage! ✨ I personally print my Port Arrival Form and keep everything together in one folder inside my backpack. It makes the check-in process so much easier. ✨ Always check Disney Cruise Line’s current requirements for your specific sailing and the current list of prohibited and restricted items before you pack. Part 2 is all about what happens when you actually ARRIVE at the cruise terminal, including one thing first-time cruisers sometimes get confused about: Your Port Arrival Time and Boarding Group are NOT the same thing! Disney Cruise Embarkation Day: PART 2 🚢 You made it to the cruise terminal…now what?! One of the biggest things I want first-time Disney cruisers to understand is that your PORT ARRIVAL TIME and your BOARDING GROUP are two different things. Your Port Arrival Time tells you when to arrive at the terminal. Once you’re there, you’ll drop off your checked luggage, go through the check-in process, have your required travel documents verified and go through security. And remember those documents we talked about in Part 1? Keep them EASY to reach! This is exactly why I keep everything together in one little folder inside my backpack. Once you’re checked in, pay attention to the boarding announcements and information in the terminal because you’ll wait for YOUR Boarding Group to be called. So if they’re boarding Groups 1–4 and you’re Group 5, don’t worry. Your turn is coming! And while you’re waiting, this is a great time to connect your phone to the Disney Cruise Line guest Wi-Fi and open your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. You’ll use the Navigator app throughout your cruise for activities, entertainment, Character appearances, dining information and so much more, so go ahead and get connected! Then listen for YOUR Boarding Group. Once it’s called… IT’S TIME TO GET ON YOUR DISNEY CRUISE! 🥹🚢 And Part 3 is all about what I recommend doing FIRST once you’re actually onboard.
