After my first summit at @americahousedc, I feel anything but afraid for what’s to come. In fact, I’m downright excited for humanity and the future we’re co-creating. 🤝
.
We shared groundbreaking ideas, led thought-provoking discussions, and participated in high-impact think tanks. I even filmed two podcast episodes with some high powered matriarchs —Theresa Amato and California lawmaker Dr.Truth Bay. (Coming soon!) Each of the creators pledged to build our dream nation, brick by brick, 🇺🇸🇺🇸 on the same soil where my Nigerian, Trinidadian, Irish, and Native American ancestors labored to establish this country.
.
It's on this very land that we'll create the nation our ancestors always envisioned - one that our descendants will look back on with pride.
.
And the best part? You can be a part of this groundbreaking movement too, simply by following along on the journey of every @americahousedc affiliated creator that resonates with you.

I come to you from @grassrootsicecream located on the original homeland of the Weantinock people, ancestors of today’s @schaghticokefirst Schaghticoke Tribal Nation. 🔥
The flavor? Mint Chocolate Chip.

The fight for the original democratic governance system of this land — often called by historians one of the oldest participatory democracies in the world — is still happening. Right now. Clean water. Living conditions. The exploitation of indigenous women and children this country hasn’t reckoned with. Peace treaties being honored or ignored depending on the decade. Sovereignty being negotiated in real time, amid economic, environmental, and intertribal complexity that doesn’t fit a hashtag.
It’s not simple. It was never simple.
Should I keep making content like this? I want to do a real deep dive — this history is wild, underknown, and more relevant to America right now than most people realize.

Before I went to America House, I sat by a tree in Sedona AZ and I roared. I roared like a Warrior willing to devote my life to the mission of protecting our land, our earth, and our people.
.
I believe in living the ideal future in the moment. That’s why when a new friend invited me to UN climate week, I woke up at 2:30 am to leave America House, catch a bus, and then a train to New York City. I attended as many events as I could.
.
I met Nigerian peace ambassadors and Indigenous grandmothers. I sauna’d with the Finnish consulate. I deepened new friendships and strengthened old ones. I dared to dream my future infrastructure into reality.
I said yes without knowing how all this would happen. I said yes, not because the United Nations is perfect, but because I consider it my civic joy to involve myself in creating the future we want to see for America and the world.
.
