A day at Frieze London.

One of the things I appreciate most about art fairs is the opportunity to see so many different artistic perspectives in one place. Some works demand your attention immediately. Others take a little longer to reveal themselves. And sometimes the pieces you remember most aren’t necessarily the ones you expected to like.

Sharing a selection of works. To be continued…

New York art season beyond fairs:

A new chapter for two Chelsea galleries at one address. @is.gallery.nyc @jimkempnerfineart

Jim Kempner Fine Art and Isabel Sullivan Gallery now share a space in Chelsea, bringing two distinct artistic programs under one roof.

The galleries offer different perspectives on the contemporary art. Jim Kempner Fine Art has a long-standing reputation for contemporary master prints and works by established artists, while Isabel Sullivan Gallery presents a diverse selection of contemporary paintings, sculptures, and collectible design.

The two programs complement each other, each maintaining its own identity.

It’s a lovely example of how professional relationships in the art world can evolve over time, creating new opportunities for artists, gallerists, and collectors alike.

That “artist friend” of yours needs your support more than you think. And no, they don’t automatically know how much you appreciate their work. Believe me, I just know.

New York Art Season Beyond the Fairs: “State of the Nations” by Geraldine Javier at Silverlens @silverlensgallery

Very impressive and unique.
State of the Nations by Geraldine Javier, the Filipino artist’s first solo exhibition in the U.S.

What I find particularly interesting is the way Javier brings nature directly into the work. She uses eco-printing transferring pigments from leaves, flowers, roots and bark onto fabric and paper and combines it with intricate embroidery.

The result is beautiful and tactile, but there is a darker layer underneath. The works reflect on environmental destruction, political instability and our increasingly fragile relationship with the natural world.

On view through October 24. taken in New York, New York by @itsbelotskaya
