Today was cool. I got to sing #RENT at Broadway in the Park for @somastage (pic 1), with my new friend, the awesomely talented @lexilawson (pic 2), for this crowd (pic 3). I’ve missed singing. If you were there…What was your favorite part?…and why was it @mig.cervantes…he crushed. #IdiotNation #rageandlove #anotherday by @itsbenthompson

You can’t underestimate the importance of listening to someone else’s story. Joe Joseph and Ben Thompson on what sits at the center of The Fear of 13. by @itsbenthompson

Last night @adrienbrody gave the cast of @fearof13broadway a great dinner with great food and greater company. We even “broke a leg.” What this man does nightly is nothing short of some sort of magic. The mental acuity and focus it takes on top of the emotional depth needed to tell @nickyarris ‘s story is nothing short of theatrical greatness. Right there meeting him hand in hand is @tessamaethompson who is some sort of acting genie. Together they are a combustible duo of dynamic story telling. Come see us at the James Earl Jones Theater through July 12th. by @itsbenthompson

4/20/2010. 16 years ago I made my Broadway Debut in one of my favorite shows of all time. We opened American Idiot and my world exploded and dreams were made. Having @katnejatbeauty @becca and @dante_russo by my side made it all the better. 16 years later and I just opened another Broadway show, while also being a therapist, a spin instructor, and my favorite two roles…husband and dad. Yesterday, I started rehearsals for a new Broadway play entitled “The Fear of 13”,

My daughter was born on the 13th of a month,

And today I celebrate 13 years sober.

The fear of 13? More like the CHEER of 13!

One day at a time for 4,749 days.

“Time can be a blisteringly fast thing, where in a blink of an eye, 10 years are gone from your life. But the next week is agony.” ~ Nick Yarris

Were the last 13 years agony? Sometimes.
Did it go by in the blink of an eye? Absolutely.

But with sobriety came a gratitude that opened my eyes to the possibilities of life.

It’s there for you too. Just take that first step…then another one…

I’m here for you. You don’t have to do it alone.
