your newest rising has arrived! 💫💓

there is so much i could say about georgia, and the love she shares with the world, and im so grateful to be part of it all! georgia was the first performer i saw in chicago who looked like me and made me feel like drag was possible, and the joy i felt watching her on stage was insurmountable. from the looks, to stage presence, and especially in the way she carried herself as a disabled performer, i knew that i wanted to be able to do the same one day.

i am so lucky to know that georgia saw something in me, and that i now get to make my silly art under her guidance and by her side! drag has been the greatest joy and a wonderful expression of so much that has already surrounded me with endless love, and i am excited to see what the future of berry bush will bring <3

drag drawing is BACK!!!!! If there’s anyone who knows how to strike a dramatic pose, it’s a drag performer! Learn the basics of figure drawing with a variety of drawing materials with artist Olivia Comai and with posing by Georgia Rising and Berry Bush, Chicago-based drag artists! This workshop will include 2 separate, costumed modeling sessions, starting with quick warmups and working our way up to longer poses!
