For those who don't follow me on Facebook -- Sunday night, June 14 2026, I lost my soulmate cat of 11 years, Laura Kittey. The loss was extremely sudden, unexpected, and terrible, so we had no time to prepare for this possibility/reality. We got the diagnosis Friday June 12, but we were told she had a couple weeks. Instead she had two days.
She was an angel-- a perfect cat in every way. She loved me dearly and I loved her more than I ever knew a person could love a pet. She was my shadow every moment of the day (and I work from home so that's a lot) for 11 years. Imagine spending all day, every day with someone you love deeply for 11 years and suddenly they were gone, with no warning. That was my Laura. This grief feels so overwhelming to bear and this house is so empty, quiet, and lifeless without her.
Here a few pics of her last 24 hours. This was her Saturday, June 13, enjoying one of her last times to be out on the patio in the sun, and Sunday morning of June 14 laying on my purse, purring, and showing her belly. We had no way of knowing that just 8 hours later she wouldn't be with us.
I am trying to be grateful that it was swift for her, and that her last days were still good days, mobile, full of sunshine and pets and time with her mom and dad and on the patio where she loved to be. by @itsbrittneyjoy

I hadn't planned on doing a #Disneybound for May the 4th, so this was a totally last minute (literally, yesterday 😂) thrown-together ensemble, but I still think it was kinda cute! My #DapperDay project is finished! I'm sooo happy with how this came out. 🥰🌸💖

Inspired by a vintage dress I saw online but was way too small for me, I decided to try to replicate it and make it more "me" for the #flowerandgardenfestival and Spring Dapper Day at WDW!

The bodice is the #bryantgown by @gertie18 / #charmpatterns , but chopped off at the waist. The sleeves were the lantern puff sleeves that came with the Bryant but I hacked them to be longer, wider at the top (for more poof) and added a boning channel down the outer midline with a zip tie in it to help keep more poof shape. The underskirt (white dupioni) is a basic circle and the overskirt (floral mesh) is a gathered skirt.

This birthday was simple, but frankly perfect. I spent it with my love eating way too much free birthday food, having a picnic, checking out our favorite @winebargeorge and trying niche wines, and just strolling around enjoying the perfect weather. Everyone was so sweet and got lots of compliments on the outfit 🥰 It was also the day Scott's Canadian citizenship document arrived... Hard to ask for a more perfect day than that. 💗🌸💖 Thank you!!

What's your favorite time of year?
I have to admit I'm a sucker for spring.
The weather was absolutely beautiful and the crowds were REALLY light for our trip to Magic Kingdom and the Flower and Garden festival at EPCOT! It was a perfect day, and I suspect one of the last days of beautiful weather before the HOT HALF. 😂 Thank goodness this dress is a light cotton that breathes well in the muggy heat. And thanks to the hairnet my hair held up even after riding Tron! 🤣

What did y'all do for Valentine's Day? We went to go see the new Captain America movie!

I don't always have the time (or remember 😂) to set my hair in a vintage wet-set style, but you can absolutely still dress and "look" vintage without a vintage hairstyle. My hair is totally "modern" here but the rest of your outfits, accessories, and makeup can go a long way!

The newest thrifted gem for my vintage vanity!
Prior to the proliferation of plastics (try saying that five times fast), compacts (and most vintage cosmetics packaging, for that matter) were meant to be reused for years and were made to be beautiful and durable as a result. I prefer using them over the ugly, cheap, easily breakable plastic compacts we get today.
