I’m not really sure where to start.

@xo__kitchen has been a pillar of the community since they first hit @artichokepub back in 2019. From the very beginning, they were there for us, saving lives during Covid and slinging out some of the best food this city has ever seen.

There are just so many memories.

Picking up food from the Arti because we weren’t allowed out. Eating Frazzle covered glizzies at @mysagarden. And, of course, consuming my favourite dessert of ALL TIME - the iconic chocolate mousse. I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to move on without you.

I’m absolutely gutted I couldn’t make it one final time before the doors close, but I hope you know how much you meant to me, and to so many others.

You touched all of us in ways I’m sure you never even realised. You will live on in our hearts forever.

Gone, but never forgotten.

Spent an evening at @pips_restaurant for Patty Palooza!!! An entirely burger-based menu for the whole of August, what a time to be alive.

I went with a bunch of gross boys who were more than happy to eat their body weight in beef. One of the fuckers couldn’t decide which burger to have, so naturally ordered two. Greedy chops.

BUT the real tea is that post burger we discovered there was only ONE ice cream sundae left. I’m not proud of what happened next (I am) - I simply reminded the boys that I was the only girl and therefore, by UK law, the sundae was mine.

They were madddddd. Anyway, I ate the ice cream and I’d do it again.

You know it’s been a good wedding when you come home with glitter in places you can’t explain and approximately 300 photos you’ll insist everyone looks at.

A genuinely gorgeous day celebrating two of my favourite people. I peaked embarrassingly early, dropped food down my dress, my boyfriend ended up wearing more Guinness than he drank, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Also, can all weddings be festival themed from now on? Thanks.

There are some experiences in life that genuinely change you as a person. A Shrek-themed burlesque show was not one I saw coming, but here we are.

@swamplesque is a 10/10. No notes.

If you ever get the chance to see this show, do it. Not only is it absolutely hilarious, but seeing performers of all body shapes and sizes, genders and sexualities absolutely own the stage was such a joy. It’s the kind of show that reminds you every body is worth celebrating.

Shrek is love. Shrek is life. 🙏🙏🙏

With heatwave after heatwave, I can’t think of a better way to soak up the sunshine than with a cocktail (or two) at @mrpostlesofficial with friends. 🌞

Started the night with an epic dessert and insanely delicious sweet pea and mint beverage, and ended it at bestie @jodiexmae gaff with Aldi pizza and water in a McDonalds Grimace cup.

In between we had a very lovely catch up, ate everything in the wrong order and I had a fly land on my nose twice which I’m choosing to interpret as a sign of good luck. Special shout out to @helskitchenette and her new dungarees 💃🏻

10/10 evening. Confusing timeline, but excellent everything else.

Photos from the best holiday ever where I did my best to look like a relaxed beach girlie, but in reality I was mostly sweating my balls off, on a constant rotation of cocktails, working my way through alarming amounts of buffet food and chasing stray cats for cuddles they absolutely did not ask for (or want).

Still had an excellent time regardless.

I was invited along to the launch of @norwichwineweek and, as someone who has never let a little treat pass them by, I felt it was my duty to attend🍷

From 19th-28th June there are wine trails, offers and prizes up for grabs via the wine week app. Drink wine, collect stamps as you go and be in with a chance of winning prizes. Huge fan of any activity that turns drinking wine into an achievement, personally.

Just because I’ve had a bit of a switch-up doesn’t mean I’m retiring from talking about food. That would be like asking me to stop treating meals like major life events (ain’t gonna happen hun).

I kept hearing people go on about @the.steampacket and every time I was like “yeah yeah, I’ll get round to going.” Well. I have now been. And I’d like to formally apologise for doubting the hype.

I had the tuna nicoise (lit), the beef Sunday roast (double lit) and a trifle that I fear I have developed an emotional attachment to. I fucking love trifle anyway, but this one was operating on higher frequency.

I didn’t actually order a cocktail, which in hindsight feels like a catastrophic lapse in judgement. I did, however, have a little sip of everyone else’s and now I’m going to have to go back and conduct further research and by research, I mean get mildly shit-faced and report my findings.

Absolutely wonderful food, lovely service, and a very enjoyable afternoon.

…I haven’t known peace since that trifle.

Let’s get my stomach tattoo finished shall we 🦇🦇🦇🦇

I’d like everyone to know that I am actually extremely brave and hard as nails HOWEVER this one was a lil bit spicy in places. Thankfully it wasn’t a full day session because I think I’d have ascended.

Naturally I rewarded myself afterwards with a trip to @birchnorwich because nothing says “well done for being a brave girliepop” quite like rotisserie chicken.

Massive shoutout to @squiretatz for smashing it once again - pls go and give him your money for all your tattoo needs. Also suggest names for my tummy bat immediately 🫪

And if there are any tattoo artists out there who fancy letting me make silly little videos whilst you stab me with needles, my DMs are aggressively open x
