🌻 Chapter 40!!! 🌻

If I could pick one word to close out the last 39 years, it would be ACCEPTANCE.

I fully accept all that this life has been up until this point. Every accomplishment. Every challenge. Every choice. Every change. Every win. Every disappointment. Every Joy. Every sorrow.

With acceptance comes the recognition that we have the gift to adapt and to adjust. To experience the cocoon and to experience becoming the butterfly.

As I enter into this next chapter, I keep these gifts in mind. And I look forward to all the beautiful moments that will come with it.

15 years a Sur-Thrivor!!!

My family and I walked @gaovariancancer Teal Trot 5K in honor of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

This is Mom & Pops' 3rd year walking with me. Babe's 2nd. My cousin joined this time. And my Aunts came all the way from Charleston!! It was special having them here because they were there during my early appointments and at the hospital during my surgery.

I am so very thankful for every year that Im blessed with beyond diagnosis and treatment! And grateful for the support of my family from day one and beyond! by @itscandicej

27 days until my 40th trip around the sun begins! The last 39 brought many accomplishments. Many challenges. Many changes. And several different versions of me.

It's crazy how many times dreams have changed. The things you value change. How priorities shift. Even the things you found interesting change. All with the purpose of evolving us into the highest versions of ourselves.

Everyone keeps saying how your 40s brings about this "less Fs to give" vibe... and im looking forward to that part the most. To care more about living as my most authentic self and caring less about what other people think about it.

Cause Truth be told, I started to care a little. And I allowed it to silence me for a bit. Convince me to hide in the shadows. But my light ✨️ was never meant to be hidden. It has always been meant to glow bright and ignite the spark in others. This part I know for sure.

The How is in a metamorphosis. And im looking forward to how the great Creator molds my path as I move into this 4th decade.

We were challenged to wear our favorite pink, red or nude lip colors at work for the entire month of February. I got plenty of lip colors stashed from my makeup artist days. So I pulled a different combo out each day!!! Here were some of my looks!!! 😍 💋 💄 👄

Oh and this week I fell back in love with Studio Fix Powder as my foundation!!! Im not a fan of matte skin really. But a good moisturizer underneath and a hydrating finishing spray was perfection. by @itscandicej
