Transparency Post‼️

Nursing school is undeniably challenging, yet it’s rarely discussed openly. I want to share my journey candidly, especially after facing setbacks in 2023.

Last year, I began nursing school, but I struggled to continue. I allowed feelings of failure and inadequacy to overshadow my academic performance. However, in 2024, I made the decision to return—largely due to my mother’s unwavering belief in me and her determination to help me push through.

With God’s grace, I am proud to say I’ve successfully completed my first year of nursing school.🎉🎊

As I reflected on this achievement during my drive today, I found myself humming a melody with no words. It was in that moment I realized how challenging it is to persevere when the path ahead feels unclear. Yet, the key is to hold on—no matter how foggy the journey may seem.

There will come a time when you can finally see the pieces of the promise fall into place. Keep going. by @itschikaraa

As I was driving today, I felt prompted to share my nursing journey & some things I’ve learned along the way. 🫶🏽

-Make solo studying a priority.
-Avoid exclusive cliques; treat everyone equally because you never know who you might rely on.
-Be cautious about the groups you associate with.
-Put your health first.
-Remember you’re more than just a student; take care of yourself.
-Don’t feel bad about turning down invitations; your goals come first.
-study to understand,not memorize.

& if these don’t apply to you.. just keep fighting 🫶🏽 Your age should not be a factor why you stop.

Starting over is hard, but it’s worth it. 🤎

Transparency moment + BCI Dump ✨✨

During my time at BCI, I didn’t feel beautiful, which might sound odd coming from me, but it was a struggle. I didn’t feel like I fit in because I hadn’t been creating, but I’m grateful my sister @cassandra.hamer encouraged me to join her.

I kept my struggles hidden because it’s easy to conceal insecurities, but I’m thankful for the openness in the room. It was just what I needed.

#1: They offered a free photo session, but I waited until the next day because I didn’t feel pretty.
#2: Hearing @norrisjohnsonii story for the first time blew me away, so meeting him was a big deal for me.
#3: @iambrendapalmer ... 🤯🤯🤯
#4: @labryantfriend spoke to the little girl in my heart. ♥️
#5: @drjackiegreene reminded me that I am the right person for the job and didn’t forget about me. 🩷
#6: @according_2luke is the sweetest.
#7 & 8: @lesley.osei deeply affected me, and meeting her was the perfect ending.
