"Who is this guy?" "That play doesn't work!" "You must have all D1 players." "Started at 22 what does he know?" "He's only 25 how is he going to coach my son?"

My name is Malik Lawrence, and I currently serve as the Offensive Coordinator at North Point High School. I joined the North Point coaching staff in 2022, returning to the program where I graduated in 2019 as a multi-sport athlete and honor roll student. During my playing career, I was a three-year varsity captain, finished with a 34–4 overall record, won a regional championship, and helped lead the team to its first-ever state championship appearance. I concluded my career holding every WR record (receptions, receiving touchdowns, yards) at North Point, was named the All-Met Defensive Player of the Year (Fall 2018), and earned a scholarship to Fairmont State University (cut short due to injury & covid).

- MPSSAA doesn't allow NO MORE than 12 practices from the time your season ends (Nov./Dec.) all the way until Aug 10th-ish
- The county I coach in doesn't allow you to contact players/pick them up/take them home
- No unproved apps allowed (Zoom for example)
- We have a ton of multiple sport athletes
- Surrounded by the WCAC, St.Frances, St.James, & MIAA (private schools/conferences)
- No 2 a-days
- No longer than 3 hours of activity a per day (think of film, lift and practice all in 1 day = you have 3 hours to complete all of that)
- in my 4 years, we've had 5 D1 kids

❤️Super thankful for the staff, kids & parents we've had come through here in my first 4 years, none of this is possible for me without the support and help from you all!❤️(No I'm not leaving lol) People say I don't give myself enough credit so here it is! 👍 by @itscoachleak

Took a two-year break from coaching the WRs coach to focus solely on being the OC--but it’s safe to say we’re back! Year 5 Loading #MMC #1% #PMs #DMGB #NPNATION
