Yesterday was a good day. Went to see Pop at the cemetery and chopped it up with his spirit for a bit (Love you Pop), had a snack and then did my best golf player impression, ate some dinner and got some gifts. It’s cool that Father’s Day celebrates Fathers around the world. But it’s equally impactful to be here for another year enjoying time with anyone that makes up your family dynamic. Me, I’m Thankful for the time that God grants me each day and if I’ve made a contribution to someone else’s life, even better. Hope everyone had a great Sunday! P.S. it’s a good thing I’m a huge San Francisco 49ers fan otherwise this might seem a little odd lol. Love to All….. D by @itsdavidmason

Happy Mother’s Day to these 2 incredible women. One a supermom (like many of you reading this post) to a university graduate and the other (another supermom) who raised 2 successful daughters on her own in a small town.

Both give of the themselves… everything. That’s their nature. And to see it in action is wonderful.

Thank you both for being who you are and I pray you enjoy the remainder of when this day has to offer. It’s already been a pretty good start!

Hi Mom… Hey Pop…

As today mark’s the day you were married back in 1953, I thought I’d share some of the music we listened to together. This provided the foundation when I was young to be the DJ I became and the music lover I continue to be. Your records are still in pretty good condition if I do say so myself. Many of the people checking out this post may not recognize these albums but that’s ok. You know and I know… that’s what really matters. The classic soca is a given but the Glenn Miller… one of your hidden favourites. I’m happy to remember you in yet another way as I do each day.

55… man… apparently I get some discounts at certain places now? Geez. All I know is that time flies by quicker than we realize.

I had mentioned to a couple of people today that is was a big day of reflection for me. When asked what I was reflecting on, I just said (among other things) that it was about life, people we know that are our age range that we’ve lost, friends made and lost, successes and mistakes, Thankfulness of having made it through another year, family, health, music, future endeavours…

All this to say that we all need to be grateful for every minute we have on this planet and how we can improve our life journey. Whether that means helping people, being a provider, a kind word or gesture, building something… i mean the list goes on and on. I hope everyone is able to leave a legacy that can inspire others in some way, shape or form.

For me, I’ll be thinking of ways I can do this by the grace of God.

Reflecting on it all and feeling blessed that I’m able to even write a post like this… or any other post for that matter.

I Thank everyone for all the birthday wishes sent my way here or by means. It means a lot to me. Thank you to my wife, my parents and family.

Happy Birthday to one of the most beautiful angels in heaven… my Mom. LaQuita Evangeline Mason. Thanksgiving and my Mom go together like bread and butter… like salt fish and bakes. You will forever live in my heart and in the hearts of those you’ve touched. Thank you for instilling in me everything I needed to try and be a good person.
