To my favourite 1-year-old ❤️

It’s honestly hard to believe that one whole year has gone by. It feels like just yesterday we were bringing home this tiny little baby, wondering if we’d ever get a full night’s sleep again! Looking back now, this first year has been the most beautiful, exhausting, hilarious, and rewarding adventure of our lives.

Eli, you have completely changed our world. You’ve taught us that love can grow in ways we never imagined. You’ve also taught us that sleep is optional, coffee is essential, and that silence usually means you’re up to something!

This past year has been full of unforgettable memories. We celebrated your first smile, your first laugh, your first time rolling over, sitting up, crawling, and taking those exciting first steps toward becoming the energetic little explorer you are today.

Of course, there were plenty of funny moments too. We’ve become experts at singing the same nursery rhyme a hundred times a day just to get one more smile. I even unintentionally sing it during work! We’ve learned that toys are interesting for about five minutes—but TV remotes, phone chargers, and cardboard boxes are apparently the greatest inventions ever made! And somehow, no matter how many expensive toys we buy, you’re happiest playing with a plastic spoon or chasing after Mommy and Daddy.

But through all the messy moments, sleepless nights, and endless chasing around the house, you’ve filled our home with so much joy and laughter. Your smile can brighten even the toughest day, and your giggles are the sweetest sound we’ve ever heard.

Our greatest wish for you, Eli, is that you grow up surrounded by love, kindness, faith, and happiness. We pray that you become brave enough to chase your dreams, humble enough to appreciate life’s blessings, and kind enough to make the world a little brighter wherever you go.

We love you so much bubba.

Our love hasn’t been an easy journey — filled with challenges and adventures along the way. Who would’ve thought that a childhood crush would lead us back to each other after all these years, and bless us with a wonderful little boy that will be born out of love? Happy anniversary, my love! It’s true—motherhood isn’t easy. It’s nothing like what you think you know… or what you’ve read in books. I’d even say it’s more challenging than any corporate job.

Does it sound hard? Yes, it is.

But what makes it worth it?
It’s the way you look at me so intently when I hug and feed you…
It’s that tiny smile you give in your sleep, the way you curl up in my arms like it’s the only place you need to be…
It’s knowing I don’t have to be perfect to love you—because I am you, and you are me.

You’ve changed our world, Eli—especially mine.
It feels like I’m discovering a whole new meaning of what it is to love and be loved.

3 months of feeding solid food.

An exciting time. Successful feeding him on most days, and some ending up as table art or in the bin. But really glad he eats very well and isn’t a picky eater.

One thing I learned is that the mess is part of the process and that if he rejects a certain type of food, just keep putting it on his plate and eventually after 10-15 tries he will gobble it down. Thanks to all the reels from mums, doctor’s advise and @solidstarts app. Also, I recommend to take a Pediatric First aid course from @kingsbabysteps so you don’t panic and educate yourself with the difference of gagging and choking.

A bit tiring to wake up early before work and to prep his meals but thankful for his nanny to help with the mess and preparation. Consistency and patience is key!

Since Eli is still too young for the 7-hour tour of Bohol, we decided to visit @southfarmpanglao since he loves animals. His favorite part was feeding the parakeets! 🐦

We were so glad we brought our @evenflobaby stroller and @ergobaby @ergobaby_middleeast carrier—it made getting around with Eli much easier. ✈️👶🏻

Overall, it was a great experience. I loved the service, and how they preserved the natural design of a Philippine farm while keeping everything well-planned and very clean. 🤍🏝️

Never too late to celebrate Valentine’s with my 2 favourite boys. ❤️❤️

Had a lot of things happening last week. It was emotionally and mentally draining. I wanted to have a nice first Valentine’s Day as a family of 3, but unfortunately it didn’t go as planned.

Today, we celebrate it as how my husband and I will always celebrate any occasion, which is sand and sea, good music and fish in our bellies. @kokobayuae

38 wonderful years! ✨

My mum had asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday. All I wanted was to take Eli around London. He may not remember it but my wish was simple, to create memories more with him and my family. It was a little challenging as it was drizzling and quite chilly, so we had to put layers of clothing on him. As usual, he slept through most of it but luckily, was awake for the photos. ❤️

I’ve realized that as you grow older and have become a mum, it’s no longer important to have a party or even a cake. It’s the memories you create with family. ✨
