This summer brought so many beautiful moments into my life, and for once I found myself posting less in real time and just enjoying them as they happened.

Documenting my life has always been something I love, but lately I’ve been thinking a lot about social media especially now that music is also my work, and I’m still very much a baby in the industry.

I’m months behind on posting shows, trips and creative projects, with X GB of footage sitting on my hard drive.
The longer I leave it, the more I overthink it, and eventually everything starts to feel too late to share.

I feel like nowadays it’s so easy to compare. A smaller club, a smaller lineup, a gig that doesn’t feel “big enough” and suddenly I wonder if it’s even worth posting.

So I try to remind myself that someone else might see that same post and think, «I’d love to be there one day».

Since I’ve spent years working in media, I’m used to think about a strong hook and whether something is interesting enough. Now that music is my work too, I think I’ve brought some of that pressure with me.

The ironic part is I’m always telling the people closest to me not to compare their journey to anyone else’s. Everyone has their own timing and their own path.. helloooo take your own advice?

So now I feel like it’s time to share a little more of the journey while I’m actually living it. And be proud of that 💕

I want to spend more time making music, at my own pace, and be more intentional about the gigs I say yes to. Saying no to the ones that don’t align with where I want to go, and giving myself more space to figure out what I actually want to build.

(If you read this far, believe me when I say it means a lot to me) KISSESSSS to you!! by @itsdjessy
