"FEAR OF THE WATER" - A Visual Choreographed by Ella-Hope Barrington-Bailey🌊🍃

This is the first choreographic Visual I've created and I'm truly proud of how it has turned out! Seeing it done so beautifully has helped me believe in myself so much more🙌🏾🙌🏾

This piece is really about struggles I've been experiencing but also the current state of the world and how it's not only affecting me, but others and how they interact with one another.

There's so much hate and being around that much of it can be so debilitating to you and others state of mind. I hope this message reads in the piece.

Thank you so much to @zenbukkar, @thi.an.nguyen and @junglespicemedia for trusting me and helping bring my vision to life. I'm so grateful for your commitment to this project✨💕

INTENTION AND PERSEVERANCE IN TRAINING✨

A couple of weeks ago I attended a session training floorwork and moving on the floor. I wanted to work on this for a long time so I knew I had to be there.

During the sesh, this song was played and as a whole we needed to do a round with one effective floor moment. And when I finished my round at the time, I was fuming.

Because I knew I could dance better, both movement wise and musically.

I wanted to dance better but I knew that I didn't fully commit to the movement I was doing because of fear. Fear of going there, of showing off, of failing if I committed too much.

So I decided to do it over. A complete redo, fully committing to every move, every sound I hear. And trying new things on the floor.

And while it might not be perfect, I'm happy with it, because I knew that every move I made was intentional; not only that but I intentionally tried to challenge myself with new things. And that's more than what I was doing beforehand.✨🥰 by @itsellab_

FIYAINDAHOUSE @kingdomsleague Prelims:

I haven't trained popping in soooo long, but I woke up on Saturday honestly feeling like trying something new and being spontaneous.

I was surprised at the results and honestly had a great time exploring what I can do with the movement vocabulary I have now🥰

As for Hip-Hop, because I've been training and working so hard at it, I'm a lot more hard on myself, and I was feeling frustrated at the time because I felt like I'm still not getting results that I want.

Despite the frustration, I have seen genuine growth in my Hip Hop freestyle and I am getting better and closer towards my goals! I just need to keep believing 💪🏾💕
