Last week Ernie and Olive had a lovely dog friendly glamping break away in the Yorkshire Dales at @catgillfarm 🐾

We stayed in the Duck pod, set in woodland overlooking the rolling hills of the Bolton Abbey Estate, where dogs aren’t just “allowed” but truly welcomed with…

🥣 Dog bowls, treats, dog bags and towels provided
🌿 Fenced patio and garden area

🍕 Fire pit with BBQ + Pizza oven
🪵 Wood fired hot tub
🦙 Alpacas on site
🍴 Kitchenette, living and dining space, and an en-suite

We started Autumn off well with a stay in a gothic mansion, @the_forest_side in Grasmere in the Lake District ⛰️

We stayed in the dog friendly Rowan room, with a comfy Harrison Spinks bed and views out across the gardens and over the Lake District fells.

Ernie and Olive were well catered for with their own large comfy bed each, two bags of the Forest Side’s own treats, towels and dog bowls to use during their stay. Plus they could explore the manicured gardens and nearby village of Grasmere 🐾

We headed downstairs to the Michelin starred restaurant for our 8 course evening meal, plus introductory snacks and bread! 🍴This was such an amazing experience having food prepared in front of us at our table and ingredients explained to us. Dogs aren’t allowed in the restaurant, but Ernie and Olive relaxed in our room while we ate dinner, and breakfast the next morning.

We had a wonderful time in such a beautiful location! And it’s always nice to be well fed after a long day of hiking! 🥾

Two little pumpkins 🎃 Here is Olive with my biggest Giant Atlantic pumpkin this year, it weighs double what she weighs! 😱

We took on @suttons.co.uk pumpkin growing challenge earlier in the year, and we had a few set backs from Ernie shredding my early starts when I turned my back for a minute 😆 But I still managed to beat my personal best!

We are so back! 🐾 We’ve been a bit out of the loop recently and haven’t posted on this account in a while as we’ve had some sudden major life changes over here and it’s been a hell of a rollercoaster the last 2 months.
I won’t go fully into it, it’s a lonnng story, but as it stands we’re in the process of buying a house. The first house we were in the process of purchasing, we had no choice but to pull out due to the survey coming back and finding out the house had a number of sinister structural issues.
But our new home is in a lovely community oriented village, somewhere quieter for Ernie, Olive and our cat to live out their senior years. We’re already about 70% packed in boxes and excited for a fresh start somewhere new.
So on that positive note, I’ve unpacked my camera from a moving box and I’m going to get back to posting and some sense of normality! by @itsernieandolive

OLIVE IS NINE 🥳🎉🥳🎉

Today is Olive’s 9th birthday, and it’s conveniently national dog day! 🐾

Does she even look 9? She certainly doesn’t act like it when she’s speeding around and launching herself in the air 😆

(PS. I actually shot and edited this photo this morning in about an hour and half… last minute or what! But the birthday photoshoot is tradition now after all) by @itsernieandolive
