Seventh World Free Store goes beyond providing material good. We center land, body, spirit in the work we do. Our hands watered and harvested many of the fresh produce you see here. Our spirits are tended by the altars we build. We meet people along the way who are eager to give a hand and stand with us. This store was built by many hands all aligned with wanting to take care of each other. Free store allows us to decenter the dollar. To get your needs provided without someone on the other side expecting something. “who is this alter for?” for you. for me and for all of us. to call on ancestors, to recount daydreams, to come back home. I am extremely blessed and grateful for the @blackamericansoundsystem team. wow. what a show. the calm before the storm. thank you. seriously, to any AND everyone who had a hand in the production of this fashion show. From the designers to Paul, owner of the venue, I am extremely grateful for the love shown.my personal thoughts: this is my first time as a curator for an event EVER! To have a packed house and be able to share space with my loved ones was truly special. Morgan and I went from stressing about venue changes to realizing we were at capacity the day of the show 😭🤣. Sometimes when I’m in the middle of a successful moment, I forget to be proud of myself… my brain just moves on to the next but nahhh this will forever be in my heart. I seriously couldn’t have pulled this off without my community. we raised funds for seventh world food distro and everyone left happy. I feel hella blessed, thank you again 💐 let’s do it again sometime?! by @itserynnlynn

Homecoming Show Fashion Show • February 20th 🪮I’m so so excited for everyone to slide through. We will be having vendors that specialize in black physical media and resources for future community-led events. Morgan and I wanted to incorporate various aspects of the diaspora, allowing us the space to explore what it means to come from “excellence”. BLACK JOY • a celebration of liberation for all. All thanks goes out to the Creative Fiends team. They are truly dedicated to curating a space for artists/designers to collaborate and cultivate a broader community. I am always honored to work along side them. show was held on September 20th and it still hasn’t left my mind. being able to represent my African American heritage while honoring my indigenous african roots, healed my heart. Thank you. 📸: @elygoat 🫂: @creativefiends and to my sisters, I see you and I love you. Thank you for smiling and saying hello to me even as a passing stranger. Thank you for holding space for me to define my own narrative. Thank you for holding me accountable. to my brothers, I love you, you are needed. Please remind me what it’s like to be close knit. You are my brother and even when we do not see eye to eye, we will protect each other in the continued journey towards liberation. to my people, I am everywhere.
