Q4 is HERE. 🫣

And this is for the ones who said, “this year I’m going to…” and somehow we’re 9 months in and still haven’t made the move.

No pressure. No beating yourself up. But sis… LET’S GO. 😂

I’m Genesis a fourteen year educator, and wife who’s recently been all about giving herself permission to step outside the box, try new things, and actually go after the ideas God has placed on my heart to create more options for myself and my husband.

And that’s what I’m doing this quarter: taking action. Not because I have it all figured out, but because I don’t want to look back and realize I never tried.

There are still 3 whole months left. That’s time to start. Time to try. Time to make the move.

I’m no expert at social media BUT,

I saw an opportunity, felt that little nudge to say something, and decided to go for it

Truly, that’s what this season is all about for me.

If you don’t know me, Hi my name is Genesis and I’m a believer, wife, dog momma and educator in the midst of building a life of more options for my husband and I!

This opportunity came as a surprise!

I literally told a restaurant I loved that I thought their page could use more food, music, and behind-the-scenes content.

I wasn’t expecting anything from it.

Then they asked me to come create content for them… and now I’m getting PAID to do it. 😭

Was I nervous? Absolutely.

Was I outside of my comfort zone? You could say so…

Did I have every detail figured out? Nope.

But this season isn’t about waiting until I feel qualified or 100% ready!

It’s about being willing to lean in when God puts something in front of me.

That’s what Mete Mano is about.

Throw your hands in.
Go for it.
Take the opportunity.
Trust God with the outcome.

Who’s coming with me? 👀

Hi, I’m Genesis 🫶 believer, wife, 3rd grade teacher, and a woman in her 30s figuring out what happens when you stop boxing yourself in and start saying YES to what God puts in front of you.

Growing up, I heard my mom and her friends say “mete mano!” all the time. 😂

It basically means go for it. Do it. Throw yourself in.

And honestly? I think we need more of that energy.

So I’m documenting what happens when I take the opportunities in front of me, put in the work, trust God, and… mete mano. 🔥

In our human nature, we want to know the plan to a T, right? 😂 But that wouldn’t really require us to apply the faith we say we have so much of, would it?

Pray, take the step, and watch Him work. When you let go of the outcome and trust Him in the process, you’ll find soooo much peace.

Have you ever gone back somewhere and felt all the memories rush back at once? That’s exactly what this felt like. Literally the moment we landed, it all rushed back.

Memories of my grandma, my mom, my dad…
Moments I didn’t know I had stored so deeply until this place brought them all forward at once. Overwhelmed with gratitude and honestly wishing I could relive every single one of them again. 🥺

But then I looked up and saw my husband experiencing everything he’s only ever heard stories about lol Watching him understand a little more of where my family comes from, my culture, the people….that added a whole new layer to this trip I wasn’t expecting.🥹

And having my older sister right beside me through all of it? A blessing I don’t take lightly.

Day one gave us a coffee museum, an unexpected boat ride tour of Guayaquil, food that lived up to every memory, and laughter that didn’t stop!!!!

Ecuador, it’s only day one and you truly did not disappoint.

Already dreaming about coming back with my mom, my younger sister, and everyone we love knowing papi is smiling down and dancing up in heaven with joy that we’re back!❤️🇪🇨

I thank God for bringing our paths together and allowing me to experience the kind of love He shows us daily through you.
