Dear Emmalin Grace,

6 years came faster than I could have ever imagined. I’ll never forget your first cry, or what it felt like to hold you in my arms. You are my dream come true. I have loved you long before I knew you and you have given me the best 6 years of my life. It is a privilege and honor to be your mommy. You have given me the best motherhood any mommy could ask for and I hope that I’ve given you the best childhood you could ever ask for. Your daddy and I can not imagine this life without you.

I wish often I could freeze time and keep you little but then I would miss who you would become. I’ll forever and always be your best friend and I hope you never get to old to continue do our handshakes, say our favorite sayings, telling me what’s on your mind and waiting for me before you fall asleep.

And lastly- to my baby girl, I hope you never forget how much, in this given season of life- you love your Barbie’s, our coffee shop dates, Fancy Nancy, our Target store mirror pictures, butterfly’s, gardening, Disney princesses, holding my hand, chocolate cake, your jewelry, clothes that you love piecing together even if it doesn’t make sense to others and always wanted to be with mommy and daddy- any and everywhere we are.

Emmy’s Fancy Nancy 6th Birthday Party ( her birthday is 3/31)

The location for her party couldn’t have been more perfect as we played on it being in the “backyard, playhouse” just as Nancy Clancy did in the show and in her books. A lot of times was spent with friends in her backyard playhouse. I love that Emmy naturally has her own whimsical style, a style full of colors, patterns, accessories, fairy’s and butterfly’s. That’s always been her so this was just so fitting

This was one of my favorite parties to plan, curate, design and execute for Emmy and it’s all she talked about.
