Crowded Alpe di Siusi? Meet the Cinema delle Odle.🌲🐄

If you’re looking for a hike that feels like stepping into a fairytale, save this one.

📍Geisler Alm in the Puez-Odle Nature Park was easily one of the most beautiful places we visited in the Dolomites and surprisingly peaceful compared to the more famous spots.

The colors here honestly don’t look real.
The green meadows, dramatic Geisler peaks, little mountain huts, forests and cows wandering freely around you… it feels completely untouched.

🥾 Our route:
Zanser Alm parking → Trail 6 → Adolf Munkel Weg / Trail 35 → Trail 36 → Geisler Alm

• 11.4 km
• +453 m elevation gain
• 3 h 25 min walking
• Free hike
• Dog friendly 🐶
• Parking at Malga Zannes – 10€
• No cable car needed

💡 Our tip: Start early.
The trail itself was wonderfully quiet, and you can enjoy the mountains before the rifugi and the popular photo spots get busy. The famous loungers at Geisler Alm are where most of the crowds gather later for photos so getting there early makes a HUGE difference.

And one important thing, especially because you’ll meet lots of animals along the way: 🐄🤍

Please let them be. 🙏🏻🐄
These animals aren’t attractions they live here. We are visitors in their home. Don’t chase them, touch them, feed them or get too close just for a photo. Give them space and enjoy watching them from a distance. They look happiest when they’re simply left to do their thing.

For us, this was the most magical landscape we saw in the Dolomites and honestly, my favorite place of the whole trip. ✨

We saved 74€ on our Seceda hike... here’s exactly how! 🏔️

📍 Starting point
We started from Cristauta / Praplan Parking instead of taking the expensive cable car from Ortisei (St. Ulrich).

🅿️ Parking: 8€
💳 Pro tip: Pay through the parking app. You can start your parking when you arrive, extend it if you stay longer, or stop it the moment you get back to your car so you only pay for the exact time you parked.

🥾 Route
➡️ Follow the signs for Seceda 4 and Trail A1.
The first section is through the forest before opening into beautiful alpine meadows with panoramic Dolomites views.

📏 Distance: 8 km
⏱️ Hiking time: 2 h 40 min
📈 Difficulty: Easy–Moderate

🚠 Optional shortcut
Don’t want to hike the whole way?
You can take the Fermeda Chairlift from the middle of the route.

We had sunshine, then within minutes heavy rain and hail. Mountain weather changes incredibly fast, even on sunny days.

Always pack:

✔️ Proper hiking shoes
✔️ Warm layer
✔️ Plenty of water

Everything you need to know before visiting Tre Cime 🗻

📍 Parking
Parking at Rifugio Auronzo costs €40 and gets you right to the trailhead. During peak season, reservations sell out 1–2 months in advance, so book as early as possible. Your pass is valid for 12 hours, which means you can book a late afternoon/evening entry and hike the following morning.

🚌 Shuttle
Couldn’t get parking? Take the shuttle (7:30am - 6:00pm) from Misurina (10€ return). Be prepared for long queues though, we waited almost 2 hours and watched five full buses leave before we could get on.

🥾 Alternative route
You can also hike up from Lago d’Antorno (around 5 km uphill), but it’s a steep climb. After driving the road, you’ll understand why, it’s incredibly winding!

🗻 The hike
✔️ Walk the loop counter-clockwise for easier climbs and the best views.
✔️ 10 km loop • 3.5–4.5 h • ~500 m elevation.
✔️ Start early or late to avoid the crowds.
✔️ Cloudy days often make for the best photos.

⚔️ WWI history
Tre Cime is full of World War I history. The famous WWI bunkers are located near the start of the Via Ferrata Innerkofler, one of the area’s most iconic ferratas. You can safely walk to the bunker entrance for incredible views, but don’t continue onto the ferrata without proper equipment.

🐄 Hidden gem
Most people never visit the peaceful meadows around Malga Langalm. It’s one of the quietest spots on the hike, perfect for a picnic while listening to cowbells. You can also refill your bottle with natural spring water near the rifugio.

Good to know:
✔️ Dog & family friendly.
✔️ Bring €1 coins for the toilets.
✔️ Don’t miss the famous cave photo spot!

2 dana. 2 otoka. 44 kilometra. I jedan potpuno novi način da doživiš @zadar_archipelago uz @archipelagotrailrun 🏝️🥾

Ove godine Archipelago Trail Run donio je nešto novo, uz trail utrke uvedene su i hiking opcije za one koji žele doživjeti zadarski arhipelag malo sporijim ritmom, bez utrkivanja. Mi smo odabrali 2-Day Hike, koji nas je kroz dvije etape poveo preko Ugljana i Pašmana.
Dva dana hodanja, panoramski grebeni, maslinici, obalne staze, skrivene uvale, otočka mjesta i pogledi zbog kojih svako malo zastaneš.

A ono što nam se posebno svidjelo? Organizacija.
Od jasne rute u aplikaciji i organiziranog prijevoza do aid stationa na kojima te stvarno čeka sve što ti treba — i ono što nisi znao da ti treba. 😂

Na tehnički zahtjevnijim dijelovima postojale su i alternativne opcije, pa iskustvo možeš prilagoditi sebi, psima i svom tempu. Upravo zato nam se ovaj format toliko svidio, hiking, ali bez potrebe da razmišljaš o svemu osim o tome da uživaš u ruti.

Veliko hvala svima koji su pristali stati pred kameru i podijeliti s nama nekoliko riječi. 🤍 Vaše kratke izjave dale su ovom videu puno više od običnog recap-a i baš smo htjeli sačuvati dio atmosfere koju smo doživjeli tijekom ova dva dana.

A nakon dva dana i više od 40 km, savršen završetak čekao nas je u Hiltonu na Ugljanu @hotelprekougljanisland . Malo odmora, wellnessa i punjenja baterija prije povratka u stvarnost. Uživali smo u svakom trenutku!🧖‍♀️✨

A Indy? On je svoj dio avanture završio s divnim poklonima od @petsecret.hr. 🐾🤍

@archipelagotrailrun , hvala na dva dana koja ćemo još dugo prepričavati.

2 dana. 2 otoka. 44 km.
I plan koji je ispao puno bolji nego što smo mogli zamisliti. 🏝️

Archipelago Trail Run nas je proveo kroz Ugljan i Pašman, uz kilometre staza, pogleda na more, kamen pod nogama i ono najbolje, ljude s kojima sve to dijeliš.

Dan 1 — 21,8 km / 458 m
Dan 2 — 22,3 km / 479 m

Nije bilo utrke s vremenom. Nije bilo potrebe za žurbom. Samo dva dana hodanja, istraživanja otoka, dobre energije i povremenog pitanja: “A koliko još?” 😂
Od prvog briefinga do zadnjeg kilometra, sve je bilo nekako baš kako treba.

The plan? Just keep walking. 🥾

More, šuma i još jedna nedjelja za pamćenje. 🐕🥾

Bark & Hike by @dogunit.hr ovog nas je puta poveo stazama Kraljevice kroz šumu, uz more, preko Šmrike i uvale Črišnjeva, sve do Dvorca Nova Kraljevica. 🏰

10,18 km | 324 m ↑ | 2 h 34 min | 14.216 koraka

A nakon svega druženje, nagrade i, naravno, jako sretan Indy. 🐶🤎

This is where the trail starts to feel unreal.🏔️💙
Jezero v Ledvicah / Lake Ledvica

One of the most impressive stops in the Seven Lakes Valley. At around 1,831 m, this is the largest of the lakes in the valley and probably the one that stayed with me the most.

The trail here is already completely different from the forest section, rocks, alpine peaks and that unreal blue-green water everywhere.

Tip: don’t rush this part.
The views are worth stopping for. 🥾

Zeleno jezero / Green Lake 🌿

At 1,988 m, this small alpine lake sits beneath the Hribarice pass and very close to Prehodavci.
It really is green, its distinctive colour comes from the algae living in the lake.

This part of the trail feels almost otherworldly: bare rocks, tiny alpine lakes and mountains in every direction.

Into the high alpine landscape 🥾
From the lakes towards Prehodavci, the trail becomes much more rocky and exposed.

This is the part where I really felt the altitude, no more forest, just rocks, mountain walls and endless views.

If you’re planning this hike: good hiking shoes are a must, and I would definitely leave enough time for this section.

This was one of my favourite points of the second day.
From here, the landscape opens up completely and you get that feeling of being really high in the mountains.

There is also a mountain hut here, so it’s a great place to take a break before continuing.

Our second day was definitely the harder one — 15.7 km, around 6 hours of walking, +672 m / -1,206 m.

The higher we climbed, the wilder it got. 🏔️

At 1,988 m, Zeleno jezero is tucked into a completely rocky alpine landscape, just below Hribarice.

This was one of those moments on the trail when you stop for a second and just take it all in.

Somewhere between the lakes and Prehodavci…
This is why I love hiking in Slovenia.

You can start the day surrounded by forest and lakes, and a few hours later you’re walking through a completely rocky alpine landscape.

No filters. Just the Julian Alps. 🤍

Day 2 was definitely the tougher one, but also the day with some of the most incredible views of the whole route. 🤍

We started at 𝐊𝐨𝐜̌𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐢 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐡 𝐣𝐞𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐡 (𝟏,𝟔𝟖𝟓 𝐦) @sedmerajezera and continued deeper into the Valley of the Seven Lakes:

The Seven Lakes Valley — Triglav National Park, Slovenia. 🇸🇮

Crystal-clear lakes, alpine forests, old mountain huts and trails surrounded by the Julian Alps.
A few days here was exactly what we needed.

The kind of place where you stop checking the time, walk a little slower and keep looking back because every view feels unreal.

Not in things, but in places, memories and the feeling of being exactly where I’m meant to be.

One of those places you visit for the hike… and remember for everything else. 🤍

Somewhere between the mountains and nowhere else. 🏔️

To see this. To experience this. To be here.

Feeling incredibly lucky to see and experience the world this way. 🏔️

TRIGLAVSKA JEZERA — DAN 1/2
Jedan dan, 3 jezera, prekrasni pogledi… i 40 minuta kiše koje su ovaj uspon pretvorile u sasvim drugo iskustvo.

📍 Ruta:
→ Planina Blato (1.147 m)
→ Koča na Planini pri Jezeru (1.453 m)
→ Planina Viševnik (1.615 m)
→ Črno jezero (1.294 m)
→ Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih / Dvojno jezero (1.685 m)

• 9,2 km | +850 m uspona | -323 m spusta
• oko 4 h hodanja
• Parking: 20 €
• Prijevoz autobusom: 2 € / osoba

🏡 Tijekom izleta prošli smo kroz 3 koče i 3 jezera. Za noćenje je rezervacija obavezna, a gužve su velike pa je dobro rezervirati dosta unaprijed.

🍽️ Hrana u kočama je nešto skuplja, ali po nama potpuno opravdano, porcije su obilne, ukusne i nakon nekoliko sati hodanja budu najbolja nagrada. 😍

🥛 U Koči na Planini Viševnik probajte tradicionalno kiselo domaće mlijeko, uz rezervaciju može se prespavati u malim pastirskim kolibicama. Na to do listi, prekrasna lokacija!

🛏️ Mi smo spavali u @sedmerajezera . Za noćenje treba imati svoju plahtu (za vreću za spavanje) i jastučnicu. Ako nemate svoje, tamo ih možete kupiti za 6 €. Wifi i signala nema, iako ja ga nisam imala oba 2 dana. Pitke vode ima ispred Koče, u koči je ledena voda samo za umivanje i pranje zubiju. 2 WC-a uredni i čisti.

🥾 Hiking tip: kabanica OBAVEZNO! Nama je kiša padala oko 40 minuta, a mokro i sklisko kamenje uspon je u nekoliko minuta učinilo puno zahtjevnijim. Dobar dio ekipe je stigao potpuno mokar, mi smo prošli ok uz kabanicu, ali voda je ušla u gojzerice.
