Basketball, football, and hockey seasons are in full swing, but the work behind every powerful play starts long before game day. 🏀🏈🏒

NASM International Certified Personal Trainer @itsismailm has more than six years of experience in the fitness industry, with a focus on strength and conditioning, functional training, and athletic performance. He also actively competes in kettlebell sport and earned first place in the 10-Minute Kettlebell Double Jerk (Best Male) division at the 2025 Asian Championship Kettlebell & Mace Competition.

Together, NASM and Ismail are breaking down four functional exercises that can help develop the strength, stability, balance, and power needed for movements across basketball, football, and hockey.

Rear Foot Elevated Split Squat
Helps improve single-leg strength, balance, and lower-body control. Useful for movements like acceleration, deceleration, jumping, and changing direction.

Lateral Lunge
Builds strength and mobility in the frontal plane. This can help with lateral movements, cutting, and changing direction.

Lateral Bound to Stick
Develops lateral power and the ability to control the landing. This is useful for cutting, side-to-side movement, and deceleration.

Medicine Ball Rotational Throw
Trains explosive rotational power through the hips and trunk. This can transfer to movements such as passing, shooting, throwing, and changing direction.

These exercises focus on general physical qualities that can support performance across multiple sports. The goal is to help athletes become stronger, move more efficiently, and better prepare for the physical demands of competition.

Tulis di kolom komentar, yuk!👇 by @itsismailm

Performance is built through training, but recovery is a big part of the process too.

As a coach, it’s not just about helping clients get stronger. It’s also about understanding movement, managing recovery, and helping them move and perform better.

Always learning, always finding ways to do better for my clients. 💪🧠 by @itsismailm

Baru sarapan, tapi bentar lagi udah laper lagi?

Coba deh cek lagi sarapan lo. Kadang bukan soal porsinya kurang, tapi isinya yang belum cukup balance.

Nggak perlu langsung ubah semuanya.
