To be honest, it feels a little weird posting one of these end of the year recap highlight reels. I see a lot of these online and sometimes you’re just like damn how the fuck are these people doing so much in one year how are they so accomplished.And posting one myself feels like I’m flexing or just curating the highlights.So why am I doing it?So this year, was probably the best year of my life so far.I took the biggest leap of faith two years ago and quit my job. And fast-forward to now my business is thriving, my team is amazing. I finally stepped out of survival. mode I stopped doing everything that I could to just make that next dollar.I started doing things that I wanted to do. I wanted to make videos since I was 12 years old watching Timothydelaghetto on YouTube.I wanted to help founders like myself find lifelong genuine friendships so that we don’t have to go through this journey all alone. I wanted to challenge myself and train and run a marathon because I was not athletic and chubby growing up and I never thought I’d be able to run one.This year for me, fundamentally changed what I view as possible and impossible.Making content, and actually getting views and followers felt impossible, running a marathon felt impossible having the courage to host something (I’m extremely anxious around hosting) felt impossible.So I did all these things that felt impossible to me. And now I feel like anything is possible. But as BIG as this year was for me, it was equally tiring and taxing.For the past month and a half, I was just not in it. I was a shell of myself. I think I was just too tired.So then feeling kind of lost and depressed. I did a reflection of all of the memorable moments from this year.And I was just shocked by how much as happened.So here I am making this end of year recap highlight carousel not because I want to flex and show people how amazing my life is.I want to make this so that I can look back at this and remember how far I’ve come how much I’ve accomplished and what I do this for. by @itsjameszhao
