@runawaysydneyhalf 1st Half-Marathon in the books🫱🏽‍🫲🏾✅ – 21.33km logged. The goal was a sub-2 hour finish, but considering my knee injury, a brutal cramp at 18km and having to hop up the final hills. I’m honestly just proud to have crossed that finish line at 2:19.

At the end of the day, these kinds of events aren’t about racing anyone else – they’re about competing with yourself. With my goal this year being to push my limits, I can confidently say I’m proud of the mental push it took to power through the pain and finish what I started. I owe it all to my wife & kids, they’re my WHY for pushing through and it was all worth it just to bring home the medal to my twins.

Full marathon in 8 weeks. A whole new beast.
But I’m locked in and ready to take it on.
Job not done – on to the next. 🙌🏽🔥 #chasinggreatness taken in Sydney, Australia by @itsjdeleon

You don’t have to leave the city to get away.

Sometimes you just need to see it differently.

Walk streets you’ve never noticed.

Try the café you’ve walked past a hundred times.

Stay out a little longer.

Wake up somewhere new.

You might be surprised how much of Sydney you’ve never really seen.

Maybe winter isn’t the problem.

Maybe it’s waking up and living the same day over and over again.

Same alarm.
Same commute.
Same routine.

Sometimes all you need is a change of scenery.

Not to escape your life.

Just to remember to slow down.

Thanks @kithhotel for our stay🫶🏽

First HYROX in the bag🤝🏾🫶🏽🏁

Nothing better than doing hard sh*t with your wife/best friend. Proud of you for pushing your limits and emptying the tank.

Let’s just agree it was a 50/50 split on every station... and leave it at that🤣🙌🏽 taken in The Dome, Sydney Olympic Park by @itsjdeleon
