Surprisingly the one I loved the most and closest to my vision was one of the first ones taken 📸❤️ I hope in the middle of winter I remember exactly how yesterday felt. Walking around a beach town with the sun shining, a delicious coffee in hand and a stop at the bookstore is my idea of a perfect day.

August - you quite literally slipped away into a moment in time. ❤️

It felt like I blinked and August was over before it began - but as l went through my photos, there was proof that some really fun things happened in August and some great moments. 🥹

I have no idea what September holds for me or you yet but I hope it’s everything good. ✨

Decided to make my World Photography Day post permanent on my feed 🫶🏻

It feels really vulnerable to share work that I’m proud of sometimes but had the absolutely best time @nicolebreanne photo walk (for the second time!) This one was in partnership with @lightroom - proud friend moment for sure 🥹 endlessly grateful to have met Nicole and everyone who came into my life after that.

A couple of weeks ago I went to a very cool workshop and got to make and customize my very own leather journal!! I have been wanting one in this style for awhile so it feels extra special that I made it myself 🥹

@gelseylatonio and @westendleathercompany have been running these workshops for awhile in Montreal and I told Gelsey she should come to Toronto and she did 😍

I learned a lot about leather, myself and lessons that apply to life too ❤️

I think the biggest lesson is to not let beliefs about yourself get in the way of trying something new.

There were times during the workshop I was a step behind the others - but guess what? We all left the workshop with a finished journal ❤️

Life’s a bit like that too. We’re all on a different timeline and that is beautiful ✨

Gelsey had us journal for a bit at the end of the workshop so we actually put pen to paper from the get-go.

Whatever you’re waiting to do - just start now, even a small step forward is a step forward.

I am chronically so indecisive - even when it came to the journal I struggled with anything related to customizing. I settled for something in the middle - I took charms home to add when I’m ready but eventually decided to go for it with the grommets and I love!!! It took me awhile to make that decision but I didn’t want to go home with regrets.

I think it’s important in life to practice both the art of weighing decisions but also just making a decision. There’s space for both.

Yes, I could have bought a tri fold journal from anywhere but how incredible that my first one is one that I made with my own hands.

In the world of instant gratification, this was a great practice of patience, creativity and accepting inevitable imperfection.

I really enjoy going to events like this solo - it gives you (and makes you) connect with others that maybe you wouldn’t have otherwise. Often at events like this, a lot of people are also there alone too. It’s a great way to meet very likeminded people. by @itsjennajustine

A little bit of life these last few months 🫶🏻

I’m in one of the hardest seasons of my life but so endlessly grateful for all of the cool experiences I’ve had lately ❤️

My advice? Say yes. Say yes to the invite. Say yes to new experiences. Go to the book event. Buy the flowers. Go line dancing. Go sports! Go to the concert. Line up at the box office if you have to. Go to the event alone. Find art. Find the flowers wherever you are.

And yes - go to the wiener dog event!! (swipe to the end)

If you’ve been around for a while, you know I love buying myself flowers so I was SO excited when I found out we were having our very own flower market here in Hamilton. 🌼 I wanted to buy flowers from every vendor 😭 The bouquet I went home and in my last video is from @little.patch.blooms 🌺

I truly had no idea we had so many incredible flower farms around here - can’t wait for the next one!

6 months from today, I’ll be 30. And I am definitely not where I thought I would be in life - and that’s okay. It has to be.

I know there are so many of us who feel that way (maybe we all do) so I hope you don’t feel alone in that feeling.

But I keep looking for and holding onto the beautiful things in life, and with a knowing that my dreams and everything I’ve ever hoped for myself are possible in time ✨

So much can change in a week, a month, a year. So let’s see what we can do by February 🫶🏻

Welcome to Closets and Chapters! I hope you find something you love here ❤️

I’m Jenna - a coffee loving gal from Hamilton, Ontario and I have quite a few stacks of books and clothes that could use new homes ☺️

I’m not sure what this space might turn into but I wanted to start! My goals here: to find new homes for these items, to build community (I hope to bring guest posts into this space and hold some cute events), chat about our favourite books/ genres and share outfit inspo.

Indie Bookstore Day 2026

A day full of books and side quests! It was so fun checking out spots I already love and going to some I’ve never been 📚 Will be back to all of them ❤️

Grateful for another trip around the sun, and I mean that 🫶🏻

There are so many emotions that co-exist ands it’s tragic, heartbreaking and beautiful to feel them all. These past few months have been some of the most difficult to navigate as I learn what life feels like without my mom but I also believe there are so many beautiful chapters waiting for me.

Aging is a gift that I try so hard not to take for granted - a lesson learned from my mom alongside others who have passed, some of whom I’ve seen ages they never did.

I’ll be sharing some of my goals for chapter twenty-nine soon but what I’ll share for now is that I want to create more art 🫶🏻❤️

2026 is all about finding joy as much as possible for me ✨

I tried doing this last year after being inspired by @sarahjenkinsxo but I’m all in this year ❤️

One thing that I know for sure is that joy coexists with grief and I want to remind myself all the time that micro joys are everywhere 🥹
