I didn’t expect this to happen…. I love the peace of the beach during the winter — the strong waves crashing, the vast expanse of emptiness — it feels holy. Lying on the ground and listening to natural sounds is my favorite way to ground & yeah your girl really fkng needed it. I set up my camera so people didn’t think I was ☠️ & to time myself.. but I didn’t expect what happened about 10 minutes in. This woman ended up laying with me in silence, both just deeply breathing & listening to the waves, both just feeling the comfort of ~being~. I got up when I was ready (cold), she said “thank you” & then I went for a walk while she continued to lay there. I think we sometimes look for permission to exist how we want to in public spaces. I know stretching or meditating in public doesn’t happen seamlessly for me (yet). But this moment was one that I needed right now & I’m glad I captured it 💗 #community #meditation #laughteristhebestmedicine by @itsjessdoit
