One prayer I pray often is for the grace to yield to His leading.

And I think, in many ways, that is what has changed my prayer life the most.

Because prayer has taught me to stop coming to God only with what I want Him to do, and start becoming more attentive to what He wants to do in me.

To ask better questions.
To listen.
To be honest with Him.
To surrender my plans.
To obey when He leads differently.
To trust Him when I don’t understand the answer yet.

I don’t just want a prayer life where I know how to ask.

I want a prayer life that leaves me willing to obey.

So these 8 habits have become less about having a “better” prayer routine and more about becoming more yielded to God.

Because at the end of the day, what is the point of hearing His voice if I’m not willing to follow His leading?

Sometimes God changes the plan, not because He’s denying you, but because He’s preparing something better than what you could have imagined.

If it doesn’t happen the way you wanted, trust that it can still happen in a way that is far better than you imagined.

I’m the “if it’s God’s will, it will happen” type of girl. 🤍

I’ll pray about it, prepare for it, work towards it… and then leave the outcome in God’s hands.

Because what God has for me won’t require me to force it, chase it, or lose myself trying to make it happen.

If it’s His will, He’ll make a way.
And if it’s not, I trust that He knows why. 🕊️

There are seasons where all you can do is trust God in the middle of the loss.

You don’t understand why it happened.
You don’t know when things will change.
And honestly, you may even wonder if you’ll ever get back what you lost.

But Job’s story reminds me that loss is not always the end of the story.

Job 42:10 says, “And the LORD turned the captivity of Job… and the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.”

So yes, I’m in my Job 42:10 era. 🤍

Not because I’m pretending the difficult seasons didn’t happen, but because I believe God is still able to restore, rebuild and redeem what I thought was gone forever.

And if you’re in a season of loss right now, please remember:

What you lost is not bigger than the God who can restore it.

Keep trusting Him.
Keep walking with Him.
Keep believing.
