There’s a certain kind of peace that comes from doing the mundane things like eating a meal with no distractions.

I have noticed that when I put away all distractions while I’m eating my stress levels go down, I do not accidentally overeat, I am able to listen to fullness cues, and I even start to form creative ideas and make connections in my brain. A meal with no distractions is a way of resetting that I have been practicing more and more. Before I would pair my meals with some other activity like watching tv, looking at my phone, or doing school work. Binging shows while binging food was normal. Food wasn’t just fuel, it was entertainment. Now I am able to appreciate what I am eating and be conscious of what I am consistently putting in my body to fuel it. #healthyhabits #healthjourney #weightlossjouney #healthylifestyle by @itsjust_kenley
