POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

When it comes to BMX racing, @teyarufus has been making plenty of noise on the track, but away from the gate she’s someone who remains grounded, thoughtful and focused on the bigger picture.

In this episode, Dozer and Stew catch up with Teya to talk about her recent World Cup success, the work that goes into competing at the highest level, and the lessons she’s learned along the way.
What stands out throughout the chat however, is Teya’s perspective. While she’s fiercely competitive and driven to succeed, there’s a genuine appreciation for the sport, the people around her, and the experiences that come with racing on the world stage.

Settle in and enjoy this episode with Teya Rufus. #bmx #bmxpodcast by @itsjustbmxpodcast

This week, the boys step away from the gate and into a story that reminds us BMX is about so much more than racing bikes.

They’re joined by BMX dad Adam Wright, who, along with a group of dedicated BMX dads, is preparing to take on an incredible 200km ride from Ballarat BMX Club to Casey BMX Club. But this isn’t just another long ride. They’re riding to raise awareness and funds for the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute, Ballarat’s community-funded cancer research facility.

With a fundraising goal of $20,000, the ride is about backing life-saving cancer research, supporting families impacted by cancer, and showing what can happen when the BMX community comes together behind a great cause.

The boys chat with Adam about how the ride came to life, the challenge facing the team as they tackle 200km on two wheels, what keeps them motivated, and how the wider BMX family can get involved and help make a difference.

This is one of those episodes that proves BMX isn’t just about racing... sometimes it’s about changing lives.

Legends we need your help. As we are coming up to the end of the first year of “It’s just BMX” we want to do two things. 1st one is to say thank-you. We never thought we’d even get past a few episodes let alone 25+ and it’s because of you guys that we are still here. It’s been a ride and we can’t wait to bring you more. This is the 2nd part and where we need YOU. We know you love all the current riders that we’ve had on and there’s still plenty more of them to come, but we want to know the “Legends” you want to hear from. The pioneers. The forefathers and foremothers. The hero’s of the years gone by. 80’s 90’s 2000’s all had Legends that shaped the sport that we all enjoy today. Give us the names , DM us , tag them here. We want to give you guys shat you want while continuing to tell the story of the greatest sport in world. 🖤 #series2 #legendsofbmx #itsjustbmxpodcast by @itsjustbmxpodcast

Speechless. One of our listeners messaged us during the week and said they wanted to send us something they had made. Unreal. And sorry for the lack of Pods the last couple of weeks but we got some bangers cooking on the pan. We love this shit. #bmx by @itsjustbmxpodcast

Ep. 26 Just getting started. The boys are back, and this week they’re joined by Junior Elite rider Stephanie Alexander who sits down with Stew and Dozer to chat about her BMX journey, chasing the dream, and what it was like lining up at this year’s World Championships. Then there’s of course “Sunday talk”… plenty of feelings, plenty to unpack, and no shortage of things to discuss after what went down.
The boys also find out what’s next for Stephanie, where she wants to take her racing and just how big that future could be. And because It’s Just BMX, we couldn’t get through an episode without digging up a few funny stories from along the way!
She might be 17, but Stephanie Alexander is already making her mark — and if what we’re hearing and seeing is anything to go by, the future is exciting. by @itsjustbmxpodcast

Ep25. It’s not a rant. Ok maybe a little bit ….
The boys are back from Brisbane and there’s plenty to unpack after what will go down as one of the most talked about BMX World Championships in recent memory.
From the atmosphere around the track to the riders they caught up with, the racing that had everyone talking, and the moments that made this year’s Worlds so memorable, Stew and Dozer dive headfirst into everything that happened over an unforgettable week.
Of course, they also share their thoughts on the newly crowned World Champions and the decisions that have left the BMX community somewhat divided.
Whether you were trackside in Brisbane, watched every gate drop from home, or are just catching up on the week, this is an episode you won’t want to miss. Live now on Spotify and Apple Podcast’s. #bmx #bmxpodcast by @itsjustbmxpodcast
