if we are a reflection of life itself, then i see you everywhere 🪞

3 years ago i didn’t think i would be able to laugh again, let alone smile with the same happiness i once had before. and i was right. I wouldn’t. i now smile more, laugh more, and truly live more with a redefined appreciation of this hell of a ride called life. and i have my baby brother to thank for that. people really do come into your life for a season, whether it be long or short and as a big sister, i never thought that the youngest would impact my life as much as he did. his passing catapulted me into dark, uncharted territory that needed to be explored in order for me to really understand and cherish the light. even though he was the youngest he held a wisdom that was well beyond his years and a lightness that was so contagious. i am forever grateful to have experienced his beautiful soul.

when it comes to my deeper feelings, i’m very reserved and find that i best express through various forms of art and literature. this is a mini project called “Twin” . We would always call each other twin but it’s much deeper than the facial similarities. I had so much fun stepping into his shoes and recreating some of his digital memories. this is a remembrance that we are all one whole and that energy never dies. they say that the best always die young but shooting stars aren’t meant to be seen forever. ⭐️ by @itsjustdaliyah
