From pre to post, the past couple months have been all about this PSA 💜

Grateful to have produced this project in collaboration with @telemundo’s Spanish-language coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, alongside @comcast and @nbcuniversal, creating something meaningful with @venicearts for @keen_la.

I was brought on by @aj.amiri.animation, mentored throughout the process, and able to build real trust on this project. Huge love to my trio @lyssss_2 on DP and storyboarding and @its_kem on sound and editing. We all wore many hats, and so many others helped bring this to life.

I recently had the opportunity to take on creative direction for MU on @purotrokiandofilm. MUAs may seem small, but their impact in building a character to life is huge. I’m thankful for the artistry of such a talented styling team 💃🏻

With the generous support of @rv_cosmetics @rubyy_vargas, our looks came together seamlessly, matte perfection on screen. Covering tattoos is not for the weak, yet our MUA team executed with absolute professionalism 💄 (and yes, Los Cuhbrones were shine-free too)

The vision was carried out beautifully by @aandrea.ixchell & @mvoval, with hair styling artistry from @agirlfromsaturnn & @bobakittydre 💇🏽‍♀️

Special thanks to our dedicated actors @dazevstheworld & @drutm, as well as t0 @victoriapereda & @nacholibre831 for capturing unforgettable BTS moments…📸

✨🎓 Disney Grad Recap 🎓✨

This past year, I spent so many weekdays at Disneyland with @__paulinaisabel_, not just for fun (though we had plenty of that), but because we were studying and writing our ASE Honors Senior Thesis. Somehow, between cold brews and castle pics, we finished it… and even won an award for our research 🫶🥹

A lot of you have asked what I was writing about, so here’s the short version…My thesis looked at folklórico dance in LA, how it’s taught, passed down, and performed by dance teachers and learners. One chapter focused on Disneyland and how it uses folklórico-inspired elements in shows, costumes, and cultural celebrations—especially during events tied to Coco or Día de los Muertos. It’s not ‘traditional’ folklórico, but Disney reimagines it to connect with Latine guests (and really, everyone), combining culture with consumerism and entertainment.

It made me think a lot about what gets lost, what gets spotlighted, and how dance becomes a way to tell stories, even in a theme park 🏰💃🏽🐭

I learned so much history between Disney and Mexico that I had no idea about. From mariachi parades on Main Street in the ‘60s to the way Latine culture shows up in the parks today. And honestly? There’s still so much more to uncover…

🌟 Happy (Belated) Birthday to Serendipitous Production 🌟

On April 24th, a simple message—Jessica reaching out to Evi with the idea of working together—sparked something bigger than we could’ve imagined. What began as a creative collaboration has grown into a space for storytelling, intention, and shared vision.

Over the past year, we’ve poured ourselves into projects that challenged and inspired us. We took a moment to pause and celebrate everything we’ve accomplished—and now, with full hearts and fresh ideas, we’re already dreaming up what’s next.

Meet Evi Alonzo—a first-gen Mexican-American storyteller, filmmaker, and co-founder of Serendipitous Productions 👩‍🚀🎬

A USC student majoring in American Studies & Ethnicity (Chicane/Latine) with a Cinematic Arts minor, she is passionate about amplifying underrepresented voices in film. As part of @latifamdeusc (LatiFAM), Evi champions diverse storytelling and community-building in film. She has worked with @waterlightfilms , leading marketing for the world premiere of Exit Fee and gaining insight into the distribution of the Oscar-qualifying 1, 2, 3, All Eyes on Me. She also contributed to the social media team at The Red Door Films (@flygirlsseries ), produced @theland_series , and directed/executive produced @turning20film , bringing Latine stories to life on and off screen.

With experience as a director, producer, assistant director, marketing producer, production designer, and BTS photographer for student and independent films, Evi’s multifaceted talents shine. Inspired by Blockbuster trips with her dad and her mom’s love for reading, she aspires to be her own creative director, dedicated to inclusive representation in film.
