Oh how the years have flown by 🥹

Kobe was my first dog and he has taught me so much about life and caring for something other than myself. He was my first baby before I had babies 🥺

Who would have known the puppy born two days after my birthday in Nebraska would have such an impact on my life?

People often ask me why I started BAC, and the answer has always been the same: Kobe.

But what most people don’t realize is that he gave me so much more than the inspiration for a business.

He taught me to slow down and enjoy the little moments.
He reminded me that consistency matters more than perfection.
He showed me that the best adventures don’t have to be far from home.
He made me appreciate the quiet moments just as much as the exciting ones.
And every single day, he reminds me to lead with love.

I think that’s one of the greatest gifts our dogs give us. They don’t just make our lives happier—they make us better.

As much as I love this community sometimes I feel there’s this “stigma” around kids and dogs. You can only have one or the other. “Having dogs is better than having kids.” “Kids ruin your life.”

I’m not saying go have kids and everyone needs to have one. I was one to say I never wanted kids and my family was absolutely shocked when I told them I was pregnant 🤣 BUT kids definitely don’t ruin your lives and people who have both shouldn’t be made to feel like they are less of or their life is worse than others because they have a kid. The same goes for those who choose not to have kids.

I’m just here to say that I have both and I wouldn’t be the mother I am today if it wasn’t for Kobe. I’m so grateful to be living the life that I do with my dog and toddler.
