Monday coming makes it one whole month since our magical wedding, and Jonathan and I officially became husband and wife, and Cayman gained yet ANOTHER Ebanks! So much hard work went into our special day, from every single vendor and from our family and friends, we cannot thank you enough. Our wedding was a unique mix of traditions and customs integrating our different cultures and faith; incorporating our ketubah signing ceremony, stomping the Glass and reading the 7 blessings, Jonathan's dear friend since childhood (now Pastor) performing our union, the delicious local food (which was insanely flavorful and plentiful!), photos of our family members from their weddings placed around the venue, down to the wedding cake which was a giant banana bread! (We don't like cake.) We danced our first dance as a couple to "Is this love" by the legend @bobmarley and signed our Ketubah to the sounds of @shekkukannehmason on the Cello playing "Erev Shel Shoshanim". I carried a bouquet of Eucalyptus which had different emblems from my family tied into the branches. My mother's wedding rings, a silver Stewart pin handed down from my father, a pendant my sister hand made and the star of David all had a place in my arms. In the tradition of my Ukrainian roots; ribbons were tied into my hair, as was done for my mother. Photos placed around the venue included not only our parents, aunts and uncles, cousins and grandparents, but even great grandparents (my great grandparents Anastasia and Nikolai were married in 1923!) The amount of epic details were limitless. Love was everywhere. Baruch atah, Adonai Eloheinu, Melech haolam, shehecheyanu, v'kiy'manu, v'higiyanu laz'man hazeh. Blessed are You, L-rd our G‑d, King of theUniverse, who has granted us life, sustained us andenabled us to reach this occasion by @itskenzieebanks

Dress #4 - based on the iconic heritage house "the old homestead" in west bay, this dress TESTED my limits.The base dress made it on island Friday evening and was put in my hands not long after straight from someone's hand luggage at the airport, and I got to work. With less than a 12 hour turnaround time between drop off and pageant start, I created a crystallized visual of the heritage home on the front of the dress, with the back of the dress covered in fun nods to west bay like a crystalled sea grape tree and iconic street signs found along our roads and in West Bay.All of my clients did amazing, and NOW I CAN SLEEP! by @itskenzieebanks

My 3rd client for the Prospect Primary School Cultural Pageant selected the Lighthouse at East End as her landmark/place of Cultural relevance. The base dress was only dropped off to me Friday afternoon (with the pageant the very next evening) due to customs issues typical of being on a small island in a world fuel crisis, but WE GET THINGS DONE REGARDLESS!the highlights of this look include a light up golden shell crown embellished with crystals of different shades of ocean blues,Tiny bronze gem sea birds, crystal chain trimmed cat boats riding waves of rhinestone trim, a fully crystallized version of the iconic maritime heritage trail sign and of course - the lighthouse in her fully crystallized glory!Let's give a moment to the crystal and plaited silver thatch belt that is just * chefs kiss* by @itskenzieebanks

When I got the call "So your niece doing a pageant coming up in June and I need your help with wardrobe", I don't think I've ever been so giddy (my only child is a boy) with excitement! Also participating in said Prospect Primary School Cultural Pageant, the historical landmark selected was Rebecca's Cave in Cayman Brac. What an intense landmark for us to be given.Rebeccas cave is a natural limestone cave on the sister island of Cayman Brac, where many Caymanians took refuge in the devastating 1932 hurricane - including 18 month old Rebecca Bodden who tragically passed away from exposure during the storm. Her grave is a memorial inside the cave to this day.That being said (and the giddy being whooshed out my sails) I created a glittering modern day memorial to Rebecca, the 1932 storm, and the absolute strength and resilience of the Caymanian people to endure through it all - the cave entrance and surrounding jungle have been envisioned with swarovski crystal and beaded accents, while the hurricane is represented in dazzling shades of blue fabrics, gems and crystals. On the back of her dress, the bow glimmers with crystallized representations of our 3 Cayman Islands, the cape sleeve representing the massive storm surge.Beautiful, and powerful. And another glittery way to bring our culture heritage and history to the front of the stage!...and not to brag but she WON her age division! We are all so proud of the new 2026 Prospect Primary School Cultural Little Princess Zaina! by @itskenzieebanks

A client approached me recently about creating her daughters themed formal wear for the Prospect Primary School Annual Cultural Pageant - her daughter was assigned the @qeiibotanicpark as her Caymanian landmark to be reflected in her dress - I think we NAILED this look! I love the authentic swarovski crystal blue iguanas and the botanic park sign just like the real one at the park! Did I mention that I started this dress on TUESDAY and delivered her FRIDAY MORNING!?!?Using the voting buttons below, do you think we knocked this look right out of the botanic park?! by @itskenzieebanks

@caymancycling May Classic kids race was once again such a fun morning - 2 years running Lyon has won his race! Registration was free, and there was plenty water, lucozade, juice and Gatorade as well as fresh cut fruit, granola bars and a massage therapist/physiotherapist! Such a well executed event and watching the teens and adults race the big circuit was exhilarating and inspiring! We can't wait until next year again!
