⚠️UPDATE⚠️

The main portion of the downpipes are made. We werent able to finish the welds completely because we ran out of gas. I also ordered the wrong size pipe for the wastegates, of course. But once the new materials come in these can get finished up and technically speaking… it SHOULD be able to start🙂 by @itskinggen

I did it man. Finally, the wiring for the TT VHR swap is finished. I didnt get a chance to put all the piping back together in the engine bay just yet but thatll be happening this week.

The ECU is plugged up and everything tested and codes reading perfectly. I had a few minor things that were wired wrong but simple fixes got everything communicating properly. Throttle blades respond, fuel pump responds, and everything powers on and off just like it should.

Honestly cant believe i was able to rewire the entire car like this and have it work 95% on the first try, but here we are. Going to get going on throwing the rest of the engine bay back together then its time for downpipes and tune. Should be hearing some noise here real soon.

Its been a while IG, ive been super busy and honestly just stressed out with this entire build completely. It feels near impossible to record and document everything because its so much trial and error and nothing is straight forward enough to record in one go… BUT we’re almost done. Wiring is getting finished up next weekend and then its onto driveshaft, exhaust, and tune. I can hear the snails singing already🐌💨 by @itskinggen

Its all coming together… Im so disappointed to say i wont be able to finish the car this year, i have so little left but still so much at the same time. This build is really one that i want to do the right way the first time. The countless hours spent at work, on the car, and countless dollars spent really isnt worth rushing the process and having potential failure or me not being satisfied…

That being said, all the turbo oil and coolant drain/feed lines are completed and installed. Intercooler piping is all installed also. Big ticket items like exhaust, driveshaft, wiring, and injectors are mainly whats left. Its getting cold outside so im going to utilize these months to button this bad girl up to perfection for spring. Spring 2026… foreal this time🫢

After about a month of delays i was finally able to put the motor in the car for the final time. I did some extra precautionary work to the motor and figured while i had the covers off i should make it look pretty too.

Just a few more fittings to order now to make my oil and coolant drain/feed lines for the turbos and then the front end can go back on along with all the intercooler piping… Then comes wiring😈

We’ve come so far yet theres so much left to do…

All intercooler piping and fab work is done for all major components, except for the exhaust. Next up is to rip everything out and start to make things look nice with engine bay paint, possibly intercooler piping and then onto the wiring…

We’re getting closer! Still on track for fall 2025🫡

Updates for what went down this weekend…

Got a pretty touch screen installed and working properly. Apple carplay is so nice😮‍💨

The starter housing had to be cut to be roatated and rewelded so that the solenoid would be out of the way. The original position was directly in place of the steering column. In doing so, the subframe needed to be notched, which will be reinforced later on.

The clearances on the steering column, rack and starter still blow me away. It quite literally could not fit any tighter. When we made these motor mounts, by gods will we somehow happened to put the engine in the absolute perfect spot where its dead center of the engine bay but still clears everything. (We didnt have a starter when we made the mounts)
