I often get asked what I do for work, or to tell people a little bit about myself, and I never really know where to start 😅

Usually, I just end up saying “idk, anything with a camera” because trying to explain all the different things I do is a lot of yapping.

I’ve never really been someone who wanted to do just one thing. I started with photography as a kid alongside my poppy Dave, fell in love with filmmaking as an adult, and eventually found myself working in music, sports, and pretty much anything else that gives me an excuse to be creative.

I have a million interests, a million ideas, and always, without fail, find a way to add another project to my plate lol.

So, I figured I’d make a little introduction for anyone who’s new here, or anyone who’s known me for years and still has no idea what I actually do 😂

A little bit of everything, and usually with a camera in my hand if I’m not hiding in my editing cave.

The last few months have been some of the best and worst. I feel like I’ve barely had time to process the bad, let alone appreciate the good.

I’ve struggled with my mental health for most of my life. Growing up, I was always a big dreamer, but struggled with self-doubt & motivation which led to anxiety, depression & suicidal ideation. Finding out I have ADHD as an adult helped me understand a lot about myself, but even with the right tools, it’s easy to fall back into old habits when life gets overwhelming. I’m pretty good at putting on a brave face & keeping busy, but these last few months have been really really hard.

I’m learning to slow down, ignore the rumours, give myself some grace, ask for help more often, even when it doesn’t always work out, and just take care of myself. I’ve had conversations with those close to me about how fleeting life really is, and how important it is to be vulnerable, stop and enjoy the things and people around you, & to chase everything you’ve ever wanted before you can’t anymore.

I want to remind you that someone can look like they’re thriving & still be struggling behind the scenes. You can be grateful for your life & still have a hard time living it. You can be proud of what you’ve accomplished & still feel lost. But I think it’s important to remember that there will always be really dark times, but they really do make the bright ones feel so rewarding and worth it when they finally do come. So stay and keep chasing.

Life fucking sucks, but it’s also so fucking beautiful
