From the mountains of HIMALAYAS to the world . 🗺️ 🇮🇳 🏔️
I’m Himani Kumari ( RAJPUT ) , and I’m proudly Indian - with roots in the beautiful ”Garhwal" region or tribe of Uttarakhand in Himalayas .🏔️ 🇮🇳 ❤️
People often ask me where I’m from because they don’t believe I’m Indian just by looking at me. And honestly, I don’t take that question as an insult.

I see it as an opportunity.An opportunity to tell them and introduce them to my culture and traditions especially from my mountain culture , India cannot be defined by one face, one skin tone, one language, one tradition, or one way of to look Indian .

I’m "Garhwali" — part of an Indo-Aryan ethnolinguistic community native to the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, Himalayas. We have our own ”Garhwali language”, a Central Pahari language, along with a rich mountain heritage shaped by the Himalayas, local traditions, nature, and generations of history. 🏔️🌿

And this is what makes me so proud of being Indian: "there is no single way to look Indian.”

India is a beautiful tapestry of countless communities, languages, cultures, traditions, and identities. Every region carries its own story, and every culture adds another colour to the identity of India.

So when someone asks me, “Where are you really from?”
I proudly say:
"I’m from India. I’m Garhwali. My roots are in Uttarakhand.”🇮🇳❤️

I don’t need to fit someone’s idea of what an Indian should look like to belong to my country.

”My roots are my pride. My culture is my identity. And wherever I go, I carry a piece of the Himalayas with me."🏔️✨
