So ya girl finally had hip surgery, mi gente! ¡Por fin me operaron la cadera!

And let me tell you, you don’t realize how much you use your hips until one decides to clock out. Una decide ponchar tarjeta y decir: “Yo ya no trabajo más.” 😩

I’m on day three of recovery, and honestly, no ha estado tan mal. But the nerve blocker wore off, and now the pain is like, “Hey girl, remember me?” Como quien dice: “¿Me extrañabas?” 😩

Right now, it’s ice packs, crutches, compression machines, snacks, naps, and trying to do simple things without looking like a newborn giraffe. 😂 Estoy aprendiendo a hacer todo despacito, con calma y poquito a poquito. I’ve also linked some recovery tools I use in my Amazon storefront above, por si le ayudan a alguien más.

Shoutout to Mr. Tinder, mi esposo, mi enfermero personal, chofer, chef, and emotional support human, for holding it down while I recover! ¡Este hombre se merece un aumento! ❤️

My body said, “Mija… AYÚDAME!” 😩😂 So I tried the REVO suction cups on my foot, shoulder & lower back and baby… I FELT THAT RELEASE. 🙌🏽

¿Milagro? Girl, it’s DAY ONE 😂 Pero so far… ME GUSTA!

Sitting here looking through my pics from this weekend’s Bingo Loco shows in Manhattan + Rochester, and I just keep thinking… wow. Gracias, Dios. 🙏🏽❤️

I’ve always wanted to entertain. Make people laugh, dance, forget about life for a little while and just have a GOOD ASS TIME. 🎤💃🏽 And looking at these pictures reminded me that sometimes living your purpose doesn’t look exactly how you thought it would.

Sometimes one door closes… pero Dios opens a window. And me? Ya tú sabes, I’m climbing through it! 😂

Because I’m STILL doing what I love. I’m still entertaining. I’m still connecting with people. Todavía estoy viviendo that dream I prayed for so many years ago—maybe just in a different way.

And am I done dreaming? HELL NO. 😂 I still want more. I still have BIG dreams. And even when I have those moments where I think, “Damn… maybe it’s over,” God always finds a way to remind me:

“Mija… I’m not done with you yet. Be patient.” 🙏🏽

And whew… patience is HARD, coño. 😂 But I’m learning.

That little mustard seed of faith? 🌱 Keep watering it. Keep believing. Because one day you might look around and realize you’re already standing in parts of the garden you once prayed for. 🌺
