I was on academic probation in PA school.

I didn’t share this while it was happening. Only my roommates at the time and people close to me knew. I kept studying, kept showing up, and kept trying to hold it together; even on the days I cried at my desk and wondered if I was strong enough for this path.

Probation doesn’t just affect your grades. It messes with your confidence, your sense of belonging, and the way you see yourself. I questioned everything: my abilities, my worth, and whether I deserved to be here at all.

I felt embarrassed. I compared myself to classmates who seemed to move forward so easily. I felt like one hard season erased everything I had worked for. And the pressure to “bounce back” quietly was heavy.

But I kept going.

Not because I felt confident, but because giving up felt worse. I learned how to study differently. I learned how to ask for help and use the support of those around me. I learned that struggling doesn’t mean you’re failing, sometimes it means you’re adapting (I love saying this, if you haven’t noticed).

I’m sharing this now because I know someone is sitting at their desk feeling the same way. Trying to study through fear, exhaustion, and doubt. If that’s you, I want you to know this: one chapter does not define your entire story.

You are not weak for struggling. You are not behind for needing time. You are so resilient, you will make it past this semester, and you are not alone in this, even if it feels that way right now 🤍 by @itslilzahi

A veces sabemos exactamente qué necesitamos cambiar. Lo decimos en voz alta, hacemos planes… y seguimos igual.

Este Evangelio me dejó una pregunta: ¿dónde estoy diciendo “sí” con mis palabras, pero “no” con mis acciones?

Y también un recordatorio: si ayer dije que no, hoy todavía puedo elegir diferente. 🤍
