It’s been a busy year of filmmaking, so it’s about time I update the feed.

And seeing as it’s WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY, what better place to start than with a few BTS moments from WE NEED TO TALK 🎬

I’m unbelievably proud of this film. There are far too many people to thank individually, but there are a few special mentions I’d love to make.

@tehnsuko – Thank you for trusting me with a story that’s so desperately needed and so close to our hearts. So often, as filmmakers, we wrap, go our separate ways and move on to the next project. Not you. You’re stuck with me. More than anything, I’m grateful for the bond and friendship this film gave us.

@joshhoadley – Brother. Thank you for being the most selfless, generous scene partner an actor could ask for.

@heidilynchfilm & @goforgeorgia – Thank you for creating a space where I could feel vulnerable, free, and safe.

catriona_dickie_casting_ – Thank you for always keeping me in mind and trusting me to bring this role to life.

And to every single crew member who worked tirelessly, against all odds, to bring this project together - thank you! It was an absolute privilege to be part of it with you all.

This one means a lot.

WE NEED TO TALK – COMING 2027 ❤️

Introducing the cast of COOKED!

This magnificent trio will be bringing the heat in a rehearsed reading at @riversidestudioslondon on June 14th - Sunday at 7pm.

Book your tickets now!

Starring:
@arian_nik as Ali (Daddy Issues, Film Club, Killing Eve)
@jackbanderson as Lee (Citadel on Amazon Prime, The Great, Genius)
@itslukedelaney as Max (Peaky Blinders, Emmerdale, Coronation Street)

Directed by @joshmathieson (An Inspector Calls, Witness for the Prosecution, Dial M for Murder)
Written by Louis Catliff (High-Tide writers group '25/26 and BBC Drama Room Shortlist)

Synopsis:
Summer 2023. It’s Ali and Lee’s final Fresher’s week. But instead of chugging jaegers down the union, they’re cooking up a plan that will change their lives forever.

Autumn 2033. The pair stand across from each other. Estranged. Carrying scars from punch-ups and hair transplants. The country is on the brink of collapse. And so are they.

As they’re flung back in time, the men question how they got here? And if there’s anything left to save?

Cooked is a time-hopping, whirlwind comedy drama that follows two best friends turned worst enemies over one life-changing year and one explosive night.

It is a story of big dreams and deep prejudice that asks if a friendship can survive a culture war that threatens to engulf a country?

A beautiful day for my beautiful niece’s First Holy Communion ⛪️

Life has a way of testing and challenging your faith. I know that myself, and that’s something I’m still trying to figure out. But seeing hers yesterday, so simple and pure, was a special moment I’ll treasure forever.

I hope she always feels as close to Jesus as she does today 🤍 by @itslukedelaney
